IMMOBILIZED ADDITIVE INSERTS
Delivery of additives in a smoking article is provided through thermally degradable, robust immobilized additive inserts. Additives can be immobilized in an elongated device or an insert, wherein the elongated device or the insert is sufficiently robust to allow the elongated device or the insert to be manually or machine inserted into a smoking article while maintaining the structure of the elongated device or the insert. By providing additives in the form of thermally degradable immobilized additive inserts, migration and/or loss of the additives in a smoking article prior to smoking can be reduced.
INDUCTIVELY HEATABLE AEROSOL-FORMING RODS AND SHAPING DEVICE FOR USAGE IN THE MANUFACTURING OF SUCH RODS
An inductively heatable aerosol-forming rod for an aerosol-generating article is provided, including: at least one cylindrical core portion including at least one of a first aerosol-forming substrate and a first flavoring material; a first elongate susceptor laterally abutting the core portion at a first side along a longitudinal axis of the rod; a second elongate susceptor laterally abutting the core portion at second side along the longitudinal axis opposite to the first side such that the core portion is sandwiched between the first and the second susceptors; and a sleeve portion arranged around the core portion and the first and the second susceptors, the sleeve portion including at least one of a filler material, a second aerosol-forming substrate, and a second flavoring material. A shaping device for manufacturing of the inductively heatable aerosol-forming rods is also provided.
INDUCTIVELY HEATABLE AEROSOL-FORMING RODS AND SHAPING DEVICE FOR USAGE IN THE MANUFACTURING OF SUCH RODS
An inductively heatable aerosol-forming rod for an aerosol-generating article is provided, including one cylindrical core portion including a first aerosol-forming substrate; at least one elongate susceptor laterally abutting the cylindrical core portion in a non-bonded manner along a longitudinal axis of the aerosol-forming rod; and a sleeve portion arranged around the cylindrical core portion and the susceptor, the sleeve including at least one of a filler material and a second aerosol-forming substrate. A shaping device for manufacturing the inductively heatable aerosol-forming rods is also provided, the shaping device including a core-forming device, a sleeve-forming device, and a longitudinal guide.
A SMOKING ARTICLE COMPRISING A TUBE FILTER AND A METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A method of manufacturing a smoking article including a tube filter includes preparing a smoking material portion, a first tube filter flavored by a first flavoring liquid, and a mouthpiece flavored by a second flavoring liquid; and combining and packaging the smoking material portion, the first tube filter, and the mouthpiece with a wrapper, wherein the preparing comprises applying the first flavoring liquid inside the first tube filter through a hollow of the first tube filter.
Cocoa wrapper for smoking articles
A wrapping material for a smoking article is formed from a web that includes extracted pieces of cocoa husk combined with web building fibers. The web has a basis weight of from about 20 gsm to about 80 gsm and a permeability of from about 10 Coresta to about 100 Coresta. The wrapping material has a pleasant and neutral smell and taste. The wrapping material is tobacco and nicotine free and can be used as a carrier for flavorings or aerosol delivery agents.
Multi-phase delivery compositions and products incorporating such compositions
The present disclosure relates to compositions that are useful in the delivery of various materials. In particular, the compositions comprise a suspension wherein an internal phase material is surrounded by an external phase material. The internal phase specifically can be a hydrophilic material, and the external phase specifically can be a hydrophobic material. The materials are combined so that the internal phase is substantially encapsulated by the external phase such that release can be controlled in relation to osmotic pressure differentials. The suspension can be combined with a carrier, and various systems and products can be formed with the suspension and optional carrier, such as oral strips, spray delivery systems, smokeless tobacco products, aerosol delivery devices, cigarettes, and packaging.
An Article for use in an Aerosol Provision System
The present invention relates to an article for use in an aerosol provision system. The article is a consumable for insertion into an aerosol provision device. The aerosol provision device comprises a heating assembly having a wall that at least partially defines a chamber for receiving said consumable for heating during use of the device, where heating the consumable causes deposits of condensate to form on said wall. The consumable comprises a first section of aerosol generating material and a second section of absorbent material. The absorbent material is exposed at least partially along a length of said consumable for direct contact with said wall of said chamber to absorb said deposits when the consumable is received in the chamber. The present invention also relates to an article for cleaning an aerosol provision device and a method thereof.
FLAVORING SOLUTION
A flavoring solution for a smoking article comprising 25 to 55 wt % flavoring agent, 1 to 20 wt % cooling agent, 0.1 to 5 wt % sweetener, and a carrier solvent.
FILTER HAVING A SHAPED RIM STRUCTURE AND A FLAVOR CAPSULE
A device for use while burning smoking material and inhaling the resulting smoke is disclosed. The device can include a filter comprising a filter element having a shaped rim structure and a recess formed in a surface of a body of the filter along a curved face extending from the first end to the second end, the recess extending radially into the body. The smoking accessory can include a capsule containing a flavoring agent disposed within the recess. The device may be received by a first end a tubular member formed to receive a smoking material, that when burned passes smoke into the device.
AEROSOL DELIVERY DEVICE WITH CONDUCTIVE INSERTS
The present disclosure provides aerosol delivery devices. In an example implementation, an aerosol delivery device comprises an aerosol source member that defines an outer surface and an interior area and includes a substrate material having an aerosol precursor composition associated therewith, a control body having a housing that is configured to receive the aerosol source member, an electrical energy source coupled with the housing, and a heating assembly operatively connected to the electrical energy source. The heating assembly includes a plurality of spikes that may be configured to articulate between a retracted position, in which the plurality of spikes is not in contact with the aerosol source member, and a heating position, in which the plurality of spikes pierces through the outer surface of the substrate material and into a portion of the interior area thereof.
