DOCUMENT ANALYSIS METHOD AND APPARATUS
The present disclosure relates to a document comparison system (100) for comparing a first document (D1) with a second document (D2). The first document (D1) includes at least a first section having at least one first section entity (CEn), and the second document (D2) includes at least one second document entity (CEn). The document comparison system includes a processor (110) and a memory device (120). The processor is configured to identify the at least one first section entity (CEn) in the first section of the first document (D1). The processor conducts a search of the second document (D2) to identify the presence or absence of one or more second document entity (CEn) corresponding to or equivalent to each first section entity (CEn) identified in the first section. The present disclosure also relates to a dictionary generating system; a document comparison method; a dictionary populating method; and non-transitory computer-readable medium.
PATENT CLAIMS DISASSEMBLING AND ANALYZING METHOD
A patent claims disassembling and analyzing device which automatically retrieves a patent claims and performs the following modules: a claim dependency determining module, a patent-claims-separating module, a preamble retrieving module, an independent-claim-element-analyzing module, and a dependent-claim-element-analyzing module, thereby disassembling and analyzing a patent claims of a patent.
System and methods for units-based numeric information retrieval
An information retrieval and analysis system for numeric data which provides high precision and recall for numeric search and uses a methodology for determining contextualization of the extracted data. The capabilities include extracting, parsing, and contextualizing numeric data including both a numeric value and an accompanying unit. This system facilitates the organization of largely unstructured numeric data into an inverted index and other database formats. An information retrieval system which enables the exploration and refinement of an extracted numeric data set defined by a search input that may be precise or initially vague. This system also facilitates analyzing and portraying numeric data graphically, creating knowledge by combining data from multiple sources, extracting correlations between seemingly disparate variables, and recognizing numeric data trends. This system uses local natural language processing, mathematical analysis, and expert-based scientific heuristics to score the numeric and contextual relevancy of the data to the query parameters.
System and methods for analyzing documents
Systems and methods are provided for analyzing documents. In one implementation, a computer implemented method is provided for analyzing a patent application and providing a visual representation. According to the method, a selection is received from a user to view claims of the patent application in a claim tree hierarchy and a computer displays the claims in the claim tree hierarchy on a display. The claim tree hierarchy visually depicts relationships between the claims. The method identifies one or more words of at least one of the claims that constitutes an element and displays, in the claim tree hierarchy, the words constituting the element in association with the claim.
APPARATUS AND SYSTEM FOR OBTAINING AND ENCRYPTING DOCUMENTARY MATERIALS
The apparatus and systems provided herein relate to a distributed patent processing system. Such a system includes, in one particular arrangement web portals, mobile applications and an integrated secure network enabled hardware unit designed to capture documentary evidence relating to a technology or concept disclosure by an inventor. This disclosure is used to generate an encrypted data package for transmission to a national or international patent office. The package, upon receipt by one or more patent offices is accorded a priority and filing date just as in standard patent application filings.
System and method for patent and prior art analysis
A request may be received from a user through a user interface an issued independent claim of a patent may be automatically compared to a pre-allowance published independent claim of an application of the patent to identify a unique keyword present in the issued independent claim but not present in the pre-allowance published independent claim. The unique keyword may be flagged to the user by highlighting the unique keyword in the user interface. A first prior art document may be retrieved using the flagged unique keyword. A unique keyword overlap score may be calculated for the first prior art document based on occurrences of the unique keyword in the first prior art document. A graphical representation of an identity of the first prior art document, the unique keyword, and the unique keyword overlap score may be generated for display in the user interface. The graphical representation may be displayed along with a graphical timeline based on a priority date of the first prior art document.
ACCELERATED DOCUMENT CATEGORIZATION USING MACHINE LEARNING
A computer-implemented method is provided. The method may comprise: obtaining at least one document to be classified; classifying, using a machine learning model including an artificial neural network (ANN) and an attention mechanism, the at least one document into at least two classes; determining, for each of the at least one document, a confidence value of the classifying, based on one or more outputs of one or more nodes comprised in the ANN; assigning, to each of the at least one document, based at least in part on the confidence value, one of at least two categories that are associated with different degrees of credibility of the classifying; and providing for display one or more of the at least one document with: the assigned category and attention information that indicates significance of one or more parts of each document provided for display in the classifying of said document.
System and method for avoiding duplication of effort in drafting documents
A system and method is provided for avoiding duplication of effort in drafting documents and, in particular, to a system and method for avoiding duplication of effort in preparing patent related submissions. The method is implemented on a computer infrastructure comprises storing disclosure information related to non-public proprietary innovation and receiving terms associated with an innovation. The method further comprises matching the terms with the stored disclosure information and providing an alert to a user that certain of the terms overlap with the stored disclosure information.
DOCUMENT BASED QUERY AND INFORMATION RETRIEVAL SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Disclosed herein are systems and methods for document based query and information retrieval which rapidly locate similar documents within a document corpora providing a document based search result to the search initiator including one or more estimated measures of similarity for each search result item and appropriate search result document metadata. After providing document based similarity approximation search results, the system also rapidly retrieves and determines more accurate measures of similarity, including the relevant document terms and term statistics used to determine an exact measure of similarity, between the document based query document term collection and individual search result document term collections using one or more computing devices, that are application and platform independent, participating in a distributed multicore processing environment. One or more web clients transmit document based query and information retrieval requests to one or more restful services which provide the document based search results to the search initiator via stateless HTTP responses and requests. Dimensionality reduction techniques are used to limit the total number of similarity approximations and document term data similarity calculations performed during both nearest neighbor pre-processing and document based searches. The systems and methods disclosed include document based query and information retrieval embodiments providing document search results to the search initiator which include the details supporting exactly how two documents are, in fact, similar using a given particular document based query and a specific measure for document based similarity.
