An image processing apparatus includes a memory and circuitry. The circuitry is configured to calculate a pixel scale factor for each of pixel positions in a main scanning direction of an input image for a line based on a magnification. The circuitry is configured to store, in the memory, the pixel scale factors calculated for the line in order of pixel position. The circuitry is configured to read, in parallel, N-number of pixel scale factors of the pixel scale factors for the line in order of pixel position from the memory, in synchronization with parallel reading of N-number of pixels in the main scanning direction from the input image, where N represents an integer not smaller than 2. The circuitry is configured to multiply, in parallel, the N-number of pixels read from the input image by the respective N-number of pixel scale factors read from the memory.

DECAP TIME AND PRINTING DATA

Examples include a method for mitigating decap in a printing system that comprises nozzles, in which printing data associated to a graphical representation and that comprise pixel data points are received. Some data points are associated with a corresponding nozzle and a corresponding direction of movement and at least one specific data point is associated with a specific direction of movement and a specific nozzle which has a decap time below a first predetermined threshold. The received printing data is modified by displacing the printing data of the specific data point in a direction opposite to the specific direction of movement in order to compensate for the decap time.

Examples include a method for mitigating decap in a printing system that comprises nozzles, in which printing data associated to a graphical representation and that comprise pixel data points are received. The elevation mechanism moves the placing unit from a stand-by position up to an image drawing position. When the placing unit is at the stand-by position, the user can insert user's finger or user's toe into or remove user's finger or user's toe from the apparatus. When at the image drawing position, the image drawing unit can draw an image on the nail of the finger. An elevation controlling unit controls the operation of the elevation mechanism in response to an operation of the finger or the toe placed on the placing unit, pressing the same downward.
