VEHICLE TOLL TRANSPONDER FOR ENABLING MULTIPLE TRANSACTION CARDS AND SECURELY PROVIDING TRANSACTION CARD DETAILS
A toll transponder may receive transaction card data identifying a transaction card associated with a transaction account. The toll transponder may provide to a toll server device, and via a toll antenna of a toll collection system, a request for a transaction amount for a vehicle toll, and may receive a response requesting authorization for payment of the transaction amount. The toll transponder may determine, based on the response, an authorization request cryptogram for payment of the transaction amount, and generate an encrypted signal identifying the authorization request cryptogram, the transaction card data, and a toll transponder identifier identifying the toll transponder. The toll transponder may provide the encrypted signal to the toll server device via the toll antenna, and may receive from the toll server device, via the toll antenna, data indicating whether the transaction amount for the vehicle toll is approved.
Gate system control device and method for controlling gate system
A gate system control device is a gate system control device configured to control a gate system having an exit gate, and includes a first sensor, a second sensor, and a controller. The first sensor senses that a passport of a person who is in the gate system is placed on a placement region. The second sensor senses that the person is moving. The controller controls the gate system. When the first sensor senses that the passport is placed on the placement region and the second sensor senses that the person is moving to the exit gate, the controller causes the gate system to execute processing for notifying the person.
Numerical operation system
A numerical operation system for a plurality of individuals includes a contactless communication tag each included in a plurality of individuals, a reader allowed to read the contactless communication tag, and a control unit to which a result read by the reader is input, wherein the control unit is configured such as to acquire, from the result read by the reader, at least numerical values each corresponding to the plurality of individuals and operator symbols for operating the numerical values to calculate a total value based on the numerical values and the operator symbols.
Identifying inventory items in a storage facility
Systems and methods for enabling a picker to correctly identify and pick inventory items from a warehouse or storage facility are provided. An exemplary portable picking-assistance device comprises first and second communication devices. The first communication device is configured to electronically receive a first item list including one or more items to be retrieved by an operator from a predetermined storage area. The one or more items may be selected from a plurality of items stored in the predetermined storage area. The second communication device is configured to communicate radio frequency signals to a first radio frequency (RF) tag of a plurality of RF tags. The first RF tag is associated with a first item listed on the first item list. An indication is provided to the operator confirming an identification of the first item to be retrieved by the operator.
Merging RFID data and barcode data
A system and method for linking radio frequency identification (RFID) data and barcode data. The method includes receiving the RFID data and the barcode data. The method further includes storing the RFID data and the barcode data in a device. The method further includes identifying common metadata from the RFID data and the barcode data. Further, the method includes merging the RFID data and the barcode data based upon the common metadata. The method further includes eliminating the duplicate data post the RFID data and barcode data are merged to obtain merged data. Finally, the method includes alerting a user when at least the RFID data and the barcode data is matched with the merged data.
INTERACTIVE ITEM DISPLAY SYSTEM
An interactive item display system, having a display structure adapted to removably support at least one item, said item having at least one radio frequency identification (RFID) tag affixed thereto, an RFID reader, said RFID tag in a first identifying signal state detected by said RFID reader when the item is in a first configuration in removable support by said display structure, said RFID tag in a second identifying signal state detected by said RFID reader when the item is in a second configuration unsupported by said display structure, and an I/O device adapted to transmit information about said item upon detection of said second identifying signal state.
BAR CODE CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM
The bar code classification system includes a storage unit, a bar code generating unit, a bar code printing apparatus, and a processing unit. The storage unit is adapted for storing a commodity information of each of plural commodities. The bar code generating unit is adapted for generating a plurality of bar code patterns. The bar code printing apparatus is connected to the bar code generating unit and is adapted for printing the bar code patterns into bar codes. Each bar code is not directed to any specific one of the commodities. The bar codes are shown on the commodities. The processing unit inputs a bar code information of each of the commodities having the bar codes into the storage unit, and links each of the bar code informations to the commodity information of corresponding commodity. Thus, the bar codes can be used more flexibly.
ARRANGEMENT FOR, AND METHOD OF, LOCATING PRODUCT TAGS BY LOCATING USERS WHO ARE OPERATING MOBILE READERS FOR READING THE PRODUCT TAGS
A user moves about a venue, and operates a mobile reader to read a product tag in a read zone of the mobile reader. An identifier, such as a user identity badge, is associated with the user to identify the user. A sensing system is deployed in the venue for sensing the location of the identifier. A host server associates the mobile reader with the identifier of the user operating the mobile reader, and determines a location of the product tag in the venue based on the read zone and the location of the identifier.
ELECTRONIC BEACON READER SYSTEM AND METHOD
A system and method for deploying and reading data from sensors or electronic beacons to create a sensor rich, Internet of Things environment. A beacon reader embodying an aspect of the present invention includes a computing chip, a Bluetooth or other radio frequency (RF) module, and an internet connectivity module. The beacon reader is configured for use with Bluetooth beacons or other RF transmitting devices or sensors, Wi-Fi transmitting devices, a network-connected database, a real time analytics engine configured for performing real time analysis and allowing bidirectional communication and information exchange, a network-connected computing device having a display, and a user interface. The beacon reader is configured to assign identifying information to the Bluetooth beacons or other RF transmitting devices; scan for and collect data from the beacons or transmitting devices; trigger proximity and/or data driven events; and send data to the database viewable in the user interface.
