PRINTING APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD
There are provided a circulation path which can supply printing material to a printing element board having nozzle capable of ejecting printing material and collect printing material not ejected from the printing element board, an acquisition unit which acquires information on concentration of printing material circulating through the circulation path, and a discharge control unit which executes discharge control of printing material concentration in which printing material is discharged from the circulation path and the circulation path is supplied with an amount of printing material corresponding to a discharge amount according to the information on concentration. In a case where the discharge control is executed, the discharge control unit selectively executes one of first discharge control in which a discharge amount of printing material concentration is a first discharge amount and second discharge control in which the discharge amount is a second discharge amount greater than the first discharge amount.
Information Processing Apparatus
Provided is an information processing apparatus used in order to determine a drive waveform to be applied to a liquid ejection head, including: an acquisition unit that acquires a plurality of pieces of information being different from one another in terms of each of a plurality of candidates for the drive waveform; a first reception unit that receives input by a user concerning association of first evaluation information out of the plurality of pieces of information with a first axis and association of second evaluation information out of the plurality of pieces of information with a second axis intersecting with the first axis; and a first display unit that performs display corresponding to the candidates for the drive waveform while associating the first evaluation information with the first axis and associating the second evaluation information with the second axis.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes a recording head, a control unit, and a correction processing unit. The recording head is configured to eject ink corresponding to an image to be printed, using nozzles. The control unit is configured to determine nozzles corresponding to the image to be printed, correspondingly to a position of a print sheet, and cause the recording head to eject ink from the nozzles. The correction processing unit is configured to perform for the image after gradation process a correction process corresponding to density anomaly that occurs due to an ejection order of the nozzles. Further, the correction processing unit performs the correction process for a density of a target pixel that the density anomaly occurs in the image after gradation pixel, on the basis of a total of densities of periphery pixels within a predetermined distance from the target pixel.
Printing device and printing method
A printing device includes: a set unit on which a print medium can be set; a projection unit (projector) capable of projecting a first image onto the print medium set on the set unit; a printing unit capable of printing a second image on the print medium set on the set unit; and a control unit configured to modify a printing specification of the second image to be formed on the print medium based on modification information regarding a modification made to a projection specification of the first image projected onto the print medium by the projection unit.
LOCATING A TARGET THROUGH MEDIA
A printer is disclosed. The printer uses a target located on one side of media to position an image on the other side of the media. The printer backlights the media and uses a sensor that locates the target through the backlit media.
Printing apparatus and printing method
A printing apparatus for performing printing in an inkjet mode includes an inkjet head, and a controller. The controller controls the inkjet head such that the inkjet head performs printing on a medium in a multi-pass mode. In each printing pass performed on each position of the medium, the controller controls the inkjet head such that the inkjet head ejects ink drops onto pixels designated by a mask data item. In a case where the spatial frequencies of the arrangement of ink dots formed on the medium during a first printing pass of the printing passes are referred to as first frequencies, and the spatial frequencies of the arrangement of ink dots formed on the medium during a second printing pass later than the first printing pass are referred to as second frequencies, the first frequencies are frequencies lower than the second frequencies.
Image forming apparatus for processing drawing data described in page description language
An image forming apparatus: upon determining that OR drawing of a first drawing object and a second drawing object included in received drawing data is not possible, drives one of a plurality of arithmetic processors to sequentially execute a first drawing process of the first drawing object and a second drawing process of the second drawing object in an original order of the first drawing object and the second drawing object in commands of the received drawing data; and, upon determining that the OR drawing is possible, distributes and assigns the first drawing process and the second drawing process to two or more of the plurality of arithmetic processors and drives the two or more arithmetic processors to execute the first drawing process and the second drawing process in parallel.
Calibration target
A calibration target is disclosed. The calibration target is created such that a color patch is sensitive to drop weight changes based on drop weight variations that show greater changes in color for a given change in drop weight.
Locating a target through media
A printer is disclosed. The printer uses a target located on one side of media to position an image on the other side of the media. The printer backlights the media and uses a sensor that locates the target through the backlit media.
PAGE-WIDE ARRAY PRINTING
A method in a page-wide array printing apparatus comprising at least first and second printing dies that overlap in a page width direction comprises the steps of calibrating the printing apparatus in a media advance direction to a higher resolution than the page width direction, the media advance direction being perpendicular to the page width direction, and using printing masks to control the operation of a plurality of nozzles in an overlap area between the first and second printing dies to reduce any visible defects caused by dot placement errors in the page width direction.
