Counter and handheld device with counter
A counter for a handheld device for dispensing a pharmaceutical substance includes at least one counter wheel having legible characters. The counter wheel is rotatable about a rotational axis, and a drive part having a shaped engagement section rotates the counter wheel. An acting part, displaceable relative to the counter wheel in the direction of extension of the rotational axis against a spring force, is connected to and rotates together with the drive part. A base part which can form a part of the housing and can be inserted into the housing at least partly overlaps the substance container in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the substance container, and has a stationary rotational axis for the counter wheel, the drive part preferably being guided in the rotational axis. The drive part is located on the side of the substance container with respect to the counter wheel.
Event Status Apparatuses and Related Devices, Systems, and Methods
Provided herein are new devices for indicating the status of events, such as the number of relevant events that are remaining and/or that have already occurred up to the present moment and to related devices, systems, and methods. In some aspects, the event-related indicator devices of the invention are used within larger dispensing devices or systems, e.g., to provide the status of administration of a substance contained therein (e.g., a drug). In an exemplary embodiment, the indicator devices find particular utility within medicament dispensers, such as metered dose inhalers, to provide a visual indication of the status of doses having been or remaining to be administered.

Counter
The invention relates to a counter for coupling to a measuring mechanism of a fluid meter, wherein an output of measuring mechanism gear is in operative engagement with a gear on the side of the counter, the gear on the counter being designed to adapt to the rotational direction of the measuring mechanism by means of a change wheel. The invention also relates to a counter, which can be connected to a modular base plate system via a mechanical interface, wherein the base plates of this system can be designed having differently arranged detent or engagement elements.
Dose counter for a metered-dose inhaler
A dose counter for counting doses of medicament dispensed by or remaining in a metered-dose inhaler. The dose counter includes a rotatably mounted first gear wheel having ratchet teeth and a display coupled to the first gear wheel, the display having a visible array of dose counting indicia indexable in response to rotary motion of the first gear wheel. The dose counter further includes an actuator mechanism having a first ratchet drive pawl for engaging the ratchet teeth of the first gear wheel in response to the dispensation of a medicament dose, and a second ratchet drive pawl for engaging the ratchet teeth of a gear wheel coupled to the display. In use, a first ratchet tooth of the first gear wheel is rotatably driven by the first pawl and then a second ratchet tooth of the gear wheel coupled to the display is rotatably driven by the second pawl.

INJECTION DEVICE WITH DOSE INDICATOR MECHANISM
An injection device comprises a housing, a dose indicator positioned within the housing and a dose selector operatively connectable to the dose indicator. The dose selector and the dose indicator are capable of cooperating with one another to set a dose to be ejected from the injection device. The dose indicator comprises an odometer including: i. a units (218) wheel operatively connected to the dose selector so that rotation of the dose selector also rotates the units wheel, and ii. a tens wheel (219) selectively engageable with the units wheel so that rotation of the units wheel also rotates the tens wheel. The dose indicator further comprises an axially-moveable shuttle lock (222) rotationally locked to the tens wheel and selectively engageable with the units wheel and the housing. The tens wheel is selectively engageable with the units wheel via said shuttle lock and, when the tens wheel is not engaged with the units wheel, the shuttle lock is rotationally locked to the housing.
DOSE INDICATORS
The present disclosure relates to a dose indicator for a pressure-actuated metered dose inhaler (pMDI) device. In an embodiment, the dose indicator comprises a chassis element having a viewing portion, a display element located within the chassis element, a resilient deformable element, and an indexing element having an axis, translation of the indexing element along its axis from a first position to a second position causing deformation of the resilient deformable element in the same direction as translation of the indexing element resulting in generally greater displacement of portions of the resilient deformable element nearer to the axis relative to portions thereof further from the axis, the displacement of the portions of the resilient deformable element in the same direction as translation of the indexing element inducing indexing of the display element from a current position to a subsequent position relative to the viewing portion of the chassis element
