Self-fitting, self-adjusting, automatically adjusting and/or automatically fitting magnetic clasp
09609921 · 2017-04-04 · ·

Provided is an automatically adjustable clasp having two separable magnet pieces which may magnetically adhere to each other to form a closed clasp. The clasp also includes a motor, an anchor mechanism for attaching the clasp to a band, sensors, and a control unit. The sensors acquire and send information related to the clasp or the band to the control unit, which may activate the motor. The activation of the motor changes the position of the anchor mechanism with respect to the rest of the clasp, thereby loosening or tightening of the band attached to the anchor mechanism. Also provided is a wearable band with the automatically adjustable clasp. The wearable band may include a shape memory material such that the band may self-assemble around a body part when a stimulus is applied to the shape memory material. The self-assembly process may enable the automatic clasp of the magnet pieces.

Systems and apparatus of magnetic clasping

Example embodiments of the systems and methods of magnetic clasping disclosed herein include a a self-aligning interlocking magnetic clasp. When the two halves are placed within close proximity of each other, the magnetic attraction of the magnets within the clasps orient the parts, and the mechanical features of a key, a keyway and a sliding face align. These features hold the two clasps together with the opposed sliding faces coincident and the keys and keyways interlocked, forming a bead shape, for example, with a hole through the middle.

A magnetic band clasp includes a female clasp assembly of a first band segment and a male clasp assembly of a second band segment. The female clasp assembly defines one or more cavities with one or more magnetic elements disposed underneath. The male clasp assembly includes a projection that may include a magnetic element. Magnetic attraction between the magnetic elements couples the first and second band segments when the projection is positioned in the cavity. In implementations where the female clasp assembly includes multiple cavities, changing which of the cavities the projection is positioned in adjusts a combined coupled length of the first and second band segments.

A clasp for securing a first strap with a second strap includes a first clasp portion having a first frame member and a first set of magnets movable from a first to a second position, the first clasp portion adapted to be attached with the first strap; and a second clasp portion adapted to selectively connect with the first clasp portion, the second frame clasp portion having second frame member and a second set of magnets positioned in a fixed location within the second clasp portion, the second set of magnets positioned adjacent the first set of magnets when the second clasp portion is connected with the first clasp portion, the second clasp portion adapted to be attached with the second strap. When the first and second set of magnets create an attractive magnetic force therebetween in the first position and a repulsive magnetic force therebetween in the second position.

Strap adjusting device and wearable device

A strap adjusting device and a wearable device are provided. The strap adjusting device is configured for adjusting a length of a strap of the wearable device and includes a pressing piece including a supporting plate connected to the strap and a cushion arranged on the supporting plate; a first sensor arranged on the pressing piece and configured to detect a deformation parameter value of the cushion; and a tightness adjusting mechanism cooperating with the strap and configured to adjust the length of the strap in response to the deformation parameter value of the cushion.

Wearable device with adjacent magnets magnetized in different directions

A wearable device is provided with a wearable device structure. The wearable device structure includes a first end and a second end. A plurality of magnets is positioned at the first and second ends that provide for coupling the first end to the second end of the wearable device. At least a portion of adjacent magnets have opposite polarity. ID circuitry is at a surface or an interior of the wearable device structure.

MAGNETIC CLASP FOR JEWELRY
20170049194 · 2017-02-23 ·

A magnetic clasp for jewelry has a first and a second coupling part each having a magnet and an abutment surface which are pulled against one another by a magnetic force of attraction when closed. The two coupling parts each have a fastening element for fastening jewelry and predefine a pulling direction when closed. The first coupling part defines a receptacle for the second coupling part to engage when the clasp is closed. The second coupling part has an undercut which forms an interlock acting against the pulling direction. The abutment surfaces are at an incline to the pulling direction and the first coupling part forms a sliding surface which, when the clasp is closed and pressure acts on the second coupling part oppositely to the pulling direction, allows a displacement of the second coupling part relative to the first coupling part, thus opening the clasp.

LOCKS FOR WEARABLE ELECTRONIC BANDS
