Kiosks for evaluating and purchasing used electronic devices and related technology
A process for a pre-acquisition auction for recycled electronic devices is disclosed herein. A plurality of pre-acquisition purchase prices are established with each of the plurality of pre-acquisition purchase prices established for a recycled electronic device in a predetermined condition, and each of the pre-acquisition purchase prices established by a winning bid from a bidder of a plurality of bidders for a recycled electronic device.
Incentivized multi-stream recycling system with fill level, volume, weight, counters, shredder, compactor, consumer identification, display and liquid drainage system
An embodiment relates to a trash collection device comprising a trash receptacle with a unique identification and an opening to receive a class of trash; an identification scanner for recognizing a user; a trash item counter; a fill level sensor; a display configured to interact with the user; a compactor; a solar panel configured to charge a battery; a data communicator configured to communicate date to a cloud storage; a processor configured to generate incentive for the user; wherein the trash collection device is configured to be modular and configurable to connect with another similar trash collection device to enable to collect additional trash class and is configured to interact with each other through a common software. The device, method and system are further used to generate recycling analytics by using the stored data to provide incentives to users and to facilitate planning of downstream operations.
Method and system for marking and encoding recyclability of material to enable automated sorting of recycled items
A method and system for marking and encoding recyclability includes material identification markers to enable a robot with computer vision capability to properly identify and distinguish between various materials. The material identification markers could include marks or symbols to describe a recyclable item or material. The material identification markers may be incorporated into the design of the item, printed on the item or label, or placed in any other way as this is a vision-based system. Further, the material identification markers may be visible or invisible to the human eye.
REMOTE-CONTROLLED TRASH AND RECYCLING RECEPTACLES
A remotely-controllable transporter for waste receptacles is disclosed herein in several examples. As one example, the remotely-controllable transporter may include an axle for replacing a native waste receptacle axle and be configured to removably attach thereto. In another example, the remotely-controllable transporter may include side brackets to removably attach to a variety of waste receptacles. In yet another example, the remotely-controllable transporter may be part of an integrally-formed waste receptacle assembly. Also disclosed herein are methods for use of the disclosed remotely-controllable transporters and waste receptacle assemblies.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SMART DEPOSITORY
A modular item depository includes: two or more modular depository units, each modular depository unit including: a plurality of storage areas comprising lockable one or more doors for accessing or placing items therein, and one or more processors including memory and communication interface for wireless communication with a plurality of electronic devices; an interface module for providing power, heating or cooling to the plurality of storage areas in each modular depository unit; a camera for taking an image when the one or more doors are opened or closed, wherein the one or more processors are configured to receive verification of the user as an authorized user and when the user is verified as an authorized user, enable the user interface to receive inputs from the authorized user; and a user interface for receiving inputs from a user to open the one or more doors for accessing items stored therein.
System and method for managing waste services
A system is disclosed for managing waste services. The system may have a locating device configured to generate a signal indicative of a location of a service vehicle on a roadway, a communication device, and a controller in communication with the locating and communication devices. The controller may be configured to determine a side of the roadway at which a first target location is currently being serviced by the service vehicle, and to determine based on the signal from the locating device a proximity of the service vehicle to a second target location at which the waste services are to be performed. The second target location may be on the same side of the roadway as the first target location. The controller may also be configured to automatically provide via the communicating device an estimated time of arrival to a customer corresponding to the second target location, based on the proximity.
System for optimizing the organization of components for the manufacture of wood products
A system optimizes the organization of components for the manufacture of wood products. The system includes memory devices and processing devices operatively coupled to the memory device, wherein the one or more processing devices are configured to execute computer-readable computer program code to receive a plurality of job orders for distinct wood products having varying components; optimize cutting of all components for the plurality of job orders to minimize waste of source materials, thereby resulting in a plurality of components for the plurality of job orders; track each component electronically in order to identify each component at a final cutting machine location; and affix a unique indicator on each component indicating both a receptacle and a receptacle portion corresponding to each component, thereby optimizing organization of all the components by at least one of job, distance from machine to receptacle, and distance from receptacle to assembly location.
MATERIAL TREATMENT MANAGEMENT, TRACKING AND/OR REGULATION COMPLIANCE PLATFORM, SYSTEM AND METHOD
Described are various embodiments of a material treatment management, tracking and/or regulation compliance platform, system and method. In one embodiment, a digital material treatment management system comprises a digitally executed material treatment management instance configuration interface, a digitally executed material treatment management instance participant interface; and a network-accessible digital processing environment storing network-executable instructions to concurrently execute respectively configured material treatment management instances and compile, for each one thereof, digital data representative of each of plural predefined material treatment transactions associated therewith for compliance with its predefined material treatment stream.
System and method for waste diversion
An illustrative embodiment disclosed herein is a method including receiving, by a waste diversion system and from a source, waste materials, inserting, by the waste diversion system and into the waste materials, one or more markers, generating, by the waste diversion system, finished goods including a portion of the waste materials, and detecting, by the waste diversion system, a portion of the one or more markers corresponding to the portion of the waste materials in the finished goods.
Healthcare Product Recall Management System
Embodiments manage the recall of a healthcare product that includes a plurality of healthcare parts. Embodiments capture a recall notice for the healthcare product. Embodiments initiate by a locate engine a background process for locating each of the healthcare parts. Embodiments locate each of the healthcare parts using product traceability, where each the healthcare parts includes a traceability status of Periodic Automated Replenishment (“PAR”), in stock, expense, or inbound. Based on the product traceability, embodiments generate a sequence of tasks based on the traceability status, the tasks implementing a recall action. Embodiments monitor the completion of the tasks to verify that the recall notice can be closed.
