CONTROL METHOD AND APPARATUS
A method of controlling at multiple customer sites with separate metering electrical devices to control consumption of electricity in an electricity supply web made up of multiple electricity using customers that is over laid on a physical network, comprising the steps of: acquiring a budget for electrical energy for use in a predetermined time period; monitoring real-time use of electrical energy by electrical devices in the overlay web; comparing real-time use of electrical energy with the budget; and sending a control signal to at least one electrical device in the overlay web, based on the comparison, in order to increase or decrease electrical load so that total energy use in the predetermined time period is balanced with the budget. Also disclosed is an apparatus for controlling at least one electrical device in an electricity supply web made up of multiple electricity using customers.

Environmental impact attribution for energy production and fulfillment using distributed ledgers
Methods and systems for improved environmental impact and attribution using distributed ledgers are provided. In one embodiment, a method is provided that includes retrieving transaction data concerning an energy transaction from a distributed database. A delivery process and/or a production process for the energy transaction may be identified based on the transaction data. Environmental impact measures may be determined for the production process, the delivery process, and/or consuming an energy resource. One or more attributions may be created for the environmental impact measures and may be stored on within the distributed database.

COLLABORATIVE LOAD BALANCING WITHIN A COMMUNITY OF ENERGY NODES
A system for collaborative load balancing within a community of a plurality of energy nodes includes a central allocation server and a plurality of local agent servers. Each of the local agent servers is connected to a respective one of the energy nodes and has a processor configured to: receive input variables or parameters; predict, using the received input variables or parameters, a non-zero energy generation amount that power generation equipment can generate over a planning horizon and an energy consumption amount that will be consumed over the planning horizon; solve, using the energy generation amount and the energy consumption amount, an optimization problem over the planning horizon; and communicate a solution to the optimization problem to the central allocation server. Each of the energy nodes includes power generation equipment, power transmission equipment, and power storage equipment.
ELECTRIC POWER CONTROL SYSTEM, ELECTRIC POWER CONTROL METHOD, AND PROGRAM
An electric power control system for controlling supply and consumption of electric power in a system power supply, a storage battery and an electric power load, said electric power control system including: an estimated value correction unit configured to obtain a difference between a past power control estimated value and a past actual performance value, and to shift a power control estimated value obtained as a result of estimation in a predetermined period to an extent corresponding to said difference, thereby correcting the power control estimated value, wherein said past power control estimated value is a value obtained as a result of estimation performed in a past time relative to said predetermined period, and said past actual performance value is a value obtained as an actual result in the past time; and a power control unit configured to control supply and consumption of electric power in the system power supply, the storage battery, and the electric power load, based on the power control estimated value corrected by the estimated value correction unit.
Building management system with graphic user interface for component operational efficiency
A building management system includes a building efficiency improvement system and method configured to monitor and control subsystems and equipment for improved efficiency of operation. A user device is configured to display a user interface for monitoring and controlling one or more building equipment efficiency parameters and settings. The building efficiency management system further includes a controller configured to collect and analyze data from equipment, generate displays of the operational status and efficiency levels, generate sets of alternative equipment control algorithms based on efficiency objectives, and present users with a set of alternative equipment control algorithms displayed via graphic user interface elements on the user device. The user device further provides a means to select and implement an alternate equipment control algorithm. The controller is further configured to receive inputs from the user device commanding changes to equipment controls and process transactions associated with changes to equipment configuration.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SELECTING GRID ACTIONS TO IMPROVE GRID OUTCOMES
Systems and methods for automatically selecting actions to take on a utility grid to simultaneously reduce uncertainty while selecting actions that improve one or more effectiveness metrics. Grid action effects are represented as confidence intervals, the overlap of which is used as a weight when selecting actions within a constrained search space of grid actions. The response of the utility grid to the grid actions may be measured and parsed by the temporal and spatial reach of the grid action, then used to update the confidence intervals for that particular selected grid action.
