SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR OBJECT DETECTION IN AN ENVIRONMENT

Aspects of the present disclosure relate generally to a vision system that detects persons exiting an environment, comprising detecting, by a processor using a plurality of image frames from at least one sensor, persons that exited the environment during a first period of time. The vision system further determines, by the processor, an exit count for the first period of time and retrieves, from a database, historical egress data comprising a detected historic exit count and a corrected historic exit count of the environment for a second period of time corresponding to the first period of time. The vision system calculates an error rate for the second period of time based on a ratio of the detected historic exit count and the corrected historic exit count, determines and stores a corrected exit count for the first period of time by adjusting the exit count using the error rate.

The processing circuitry configured to generate a harmonic signal and a fundamental wave signal based on a reception signal that is collected by an ultrasound probe, the harmonic signal corresponding to a harmonic component of a reflected wave of a ultrasound generated in the subject, the fundamental wave signal corresponding to a fundamental wave component of the reflected wave, calculate a first index value indicating tissue properties of the subject based on the harmonic signal, and calculate a second index value indicating the tissue properties based on the fundamental wave signal, and display an analysis result based on the first index value and the second index value.

Multi-channel depth estimation using census transforms

A depth estimation system is described capable of determining depth information using two images from two cameras. A first camera captures a first image and a second camera captures a second image, both images including a plurality of light channels. A scan direction is selected from a plurality of scan directions. For the selected scan direction, along each of a plurality of scanlines, the system compares pixels from the first image to pixels from the second image. The comparison is based on calculating a census transform for each pixel in the first image and a census transform for each pixel in the second image. This comparison is used to determine a stereo correspondence between the pixels in the first image and the pixels in the second image. The system generates a depth map based on the stereo correspondence.

The method further includes performing a visual search through an optimized object of the first object. At least one of a calculating speed of the optimized object is greater than a calculating speed of the first object and a total calculating time of the optimized object within a unit time is less than a total calculating time of the first object within the unit time.

Method and device for determining a parallax problem in sensor data of two sensors

A method for detecting a parallax problem in sensor data from two sensors spaced apart from each other and at least partly capturing the same environment, wherein at least one of the sensors provides distance information. The method includes obtaining the acquired sensor data from the sensors; assigning measured values in the acquired sensor data of one sensor to corresponding measured values in the acquired sensor data of the other sensor, wherein the assignment takes the respective imaging conditions of the two sensors into account; consecutively numbering the measured values in the sensor data; checking whether a sorting order of the numbering of the measured values that correspond to each other matches, a parallax problem being determined in response to a sorting order not matching; and outputting a test result. Also disclosed is an apparatus for detecting a parallax problem in sensor data from two sensors and a transportation vehicle.
