A method, apparatus, and computer-readable medium for point cloud coefficient coding are provided. Transform coefficients associated with point cloud data are decomposed into set-index values and symbol-index values, the symbol index-value specifying location of the transform coefficient within a set. The decomposed transform coefficients are partitioned into one or more sets based on the set-index values and the symbol-index values. The set-index values of the partitioned transform coefficients are entropy-coded, and the symbol-index values of the partitioned transform coefficients are bypass-coded. The point cloud data is compressed based on the entropy-coded symbol-index values and the bypass-coded set-index values.

IMAGE CODING APPARATUS FOR CODING TILE BOUNDARIES

A processor obtains pieces of coded data, which are included in a bitstream and generated by coding tiles, and tile boundary independence information, which indicates whether each boundary between the tiles is a first or second boundary. Image data of a first tile is generated by decoding a first code string included in first coded data with reference to decoding information of a decoded tile when the tile boundary independence information indicates the first boundary, and by decoding the first code string without referring to the decoding information when the tile boundary independence information indicates the second boundary. A bit string is added after the first code string to make a bit length of first coded data a multiple of a predetermined N bits, with N being an integer greater than or equal to 2.

One embodiment provides a parallel processor comprising a processing cluster coupled with the cache memory. The processing cluster includes a plurality of multiprocessors coupled with a data interconnect, where a multiprocessor of the plurality of multiprocessors includes a tensor core configured to load tensor data and metadata associated with the tensor data from the cache memory, wherein the metadata indicates a first numerical transform applied to the tensor data, perform an inverse transform of the first numerical transform, perform a tensor operation on the tensor data after the inverse transform is performed, and write output of the tensor operation to a memory coupled with the processing cluster.

Computer-implemented method for compressing measurement data from a measurement of a measurement volume

Described is a method for compressing measurement data of a volume which comprises an object, wherein a digital representation of the object comprising a plurality of image information items of the object is generated by the measurement. The method comprises: providing an analysis specification for at least one predetermined region in the measurement volume; determining the measurement data in the measurement volume; defining a subset of the measurement data which corresponds to the at least one predetermined region of the analysis specification; selecting at least one compression rate for the subset on the basis of the analysis specification; selecting a first compression method for a remainder of the measurement data outside the subset, the first compression method having a compression rate; compressing the subset with the selected at least one compression rate, and compressing the remainder of the measurement data by way of the first compression method.

The present technology relates to an image processing apparatus and method that are capable of enhancing encoding efficiency while suppressing a decrease in the efficiency of encoding processing. The image processing apparatus includes an encoding mode setter that sets, in units of coding units having a hierarchical structure, whether a non-compression mode is to be selected as an encoding mode for encoding image data, the non-compression mode being an encoding mode in which the image data is output as encoded data, and an encoder that encodes the image data in units of the coding units in accordance with a mode set by the encoding mode setter. The present disclosure can be applied to, for example, an image processing apparatus.

Aspects of the disclosure provide methods, apparatuses, and non-transitory computer-readable storage mediums for video encoding/decoding. In a method, whether an adaptive color transform (ACT) is enabled for a current block is determined. A maximum transform size is determined based on whether the ACT is enabled for the current block. Whether a subblock transform (SBT) is applied to the current block is determined based at least on the maximum transform size. Further, the SBT is performed on the current block based on the SBT being determined to be applied to the current block.
