INPUT DISPLAY DEVICE, INPUT DISPLAY METHOD, AND COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIUM

An input display device includes: a processor to execute a program; and a memory to store the program which, when executed by the processor, results in performance of steps including: receiving an input of a track by a receiving unit; generating a track image showing the track; acquiring a character string; and displaying the character string acquired in the acquiring to be superimposed on the track image. When the character string is acquired in the acquiring before the track image is generated, the displaying the character string is stood by.

Guide-assisted capture of material data

A material data collection system allows capturing of material data. For example, the material data collection system may include digital image data for materials. The material data collection system may ensure that captured digital image data is properly aligned, so that material data may be easily recalled for later use, while maintaining the proper alignment for the captured digital image. The material data collection system may include using a capture guide, to provide cues on how to orient a mobile device used with the material data collection system.

DETERMINING VISIBILITY OF RENDERED CONTENT
20180012378 · 2018-01-11 ·

Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for determining whether content rendered on a display is actually visible to a user. In one aspect, a method includes generating and transmitting content presentation data that causes a user device to present, at a display and over a first time period, a content item that includes one or more content portions that are each designated for presentation in a respective first color. For a second time period, the respective first color of a particular content portion is changed to a second color. Visual representation data that includes a visual representation of the display during the second time period is generated and provided. Using the visual representation, an amount of the content item that was visible at the display is determined based on an amount of the particular content portion presented in the second color.

VISUAL MUSIC COLOR CONTROL SYSTEM
20180012380 · 2018-01-11 ·

Described herein are various technologies pertaining to presenting, and configuring, digital objects on a display device for application with a visual music presentation. An interactive screen can be presented on a touchscreen of a display device, wherein a visual musician can interact with one or more components and/or features comprising the screen to control presentation of the digital objects. A portion of the screen can be configured to initially present a continuous hue spectrum, which can subsequently be replaced with a discrete hue spectrum. Further, a spectrum comprising naturally visible hues can be modified such that a plurality of hues in the spectrum are positioned equally across the spectrum, and further, brightness of respective hues can be modified to enable visually appealing visual music presentation.

ENHANCED PRECISION BACKGROUND SHADING FOR DIGITALLY PUBLISHED TEXT

Various techniques more precisely and reliably (a) position top and bottom boundaries of a region of background shading, (b) position left and right boundaries of a region of background shading, (c) define a region of background shading that is applied to Chinese, Japanese, or Korean characters, and (d) apply a clipping path to achieve an arbitrarily-shaped region of background shading. These techniques allow background shading to be applied to textual content precisely and reliably, and also reduce the likelihood that unwanted visual artifacts are introduced into a digital publication.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR VISUALIZING CRIME DETERRENT EFFECTS
20180011670 · 2018-01-11 ·

A process for displaying crime deterrent effects includes first receiving patrol route information indicating a patrol route taken by a law enforcement patrol and determining a type of the law enforcement patrol. Subsequently, a deterrent effect parameter associated with the law enforcement patrol is determined as a function of the determined type of the law enforcement patrol. Finally, an electronic display is caused to display a cartographic map of a geographic area at least partially including the patrol route taken by the law enforcement patrol and, along the patrol route taken, to display a deterrent effect indicator having a radius, width, size, and/or fade time that varies as a function of the type of the determined deterrent effect parameter.

Multi-graph display method and computer-readable storage medium

Multi-graphic display method and computer-readable storage medium are disclosed. In the multi-graphic display method, a processor is used to execute instructions to perform the step of, within a display window, determining the position of each financial graphic, determining a plurality of rectangular sub-regions in the display window so that the financial varieties of the financial graphics contained in the single rectangular sub-region are the same, and setting the financial characteristics of each financial graphic, and setting a financial variety of financial graphics within each of the rectangular sub-regions. In the case where two or more rectangular sub-regions within the display window contain a plurality of periodic financial graphics, the financial characteristics of at least two of the periodic financial graphics between at least two of the rectangular sub-regions are identical.

METHOD FOR PREVENTING BURN-IN CONDITIONS ON A DISPLAY OF AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE
20180012332 · 2018-01-11 ·

A method for preventing burn-in conditions on a display of an electronic device is disclosed. The electronic device acquires a position of, for example, a task bar being displayed on an OELD screen, extracts a color of a pixel located adjacent to the task bar, and generates an overlay window of a color based on the extracted color. The color of the overlay window is translucent and continuously changes from the extracted color to black with an increase of the distance from the pixel located adjacent to the task bar. The task bar is displayed on the OELD screen with the overlay window overlaying the task bar.

Compressing dynamic range in images using darkness gamma transfer function

An example apparatus for compressing dynamic range includes an image receiver to receive an input image with a high dynamic range. The apparatus further includes a darkness gamma transfer calculator to calculate gain values for each output pixel via a darkness gamma transfer function. The apparatus also further includes a gain applicator to apply the gain values to color channel values of the input image to generate a compressed image.

Method and apparatus for overlaying themed imagery onto real-world objects in a head-mounted display device

Method and apparatus for overlaying themed imagery onto real-world objects in a head-mounted display device (HMDD). A computing device receives, from an HMDD, depth data that identifies distances from the HMDD to surfaces of a plurality of objects in a user space. The computing device detects at least one object in the user space based at least in part on the depth data. The computing device determines a classification of video content being presented on a display system of the HMDD. The computing device selects, based on the classification, a particular image theme from a plurality of different image themes, the image theme comprising one or more image textures. The computing device sends, to the HMDD, at least one image texture for overlaying the at least one object during presentation of the at least one object on the display system of the HMDD in conjunction with the video content.
