SPLIT TILE MAP RENDERING
To efficiently transmit image map data to a client device, a map server selects map data for rendering a digital map of a certain geographic area at the client device and generates multiple map image layers using the selected map data, each covering the geographic area. In particular, the map server generates (i) a first map image layer including a first type of geographic data and having a first resolution, and (ii) a second map image layer including a second type of geographic data and having a second resolution. The map server then transmits the multiple map image layers to the client device via a communication network for generating a single digital map of the geographic area.
System and method of limiting processing by a 3D reconstruction system of an environment in a 3D reconstruction of an event occurring in an event space
A method of limiting processing by a 3D reconstruction system of an environment in a 3D reconstruction of an event includes dividing by the subdivision module the volume into sub-volumes; projecting from each camera each of the sub-volumes to create a set of sub-volumes masks relative to each camera; creating an imaging mask for each camera; comparing for each camera by the subdivision module the respective imaging mask to the respective sub-volume mask and extracting at least one feature from at least one imaging mask; saving by the subdivision module the at least one feature to a subspace division mask; cropping the at least one feature from the imaging frames using the subspace division mask; and processing only the at least one feature for a 3D reconstruction. The system includes cameras for recording the event in imaging frames; and a subdivision module for dividing the volume into sub-volumes.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR THREE-DIMENSIONAL MODEL SHARING
Examples of the disclosure describe systems and methods for decomposing and sharing 3D models. In an example method, a first version of a virtual three-dimensional model is displayed via a display of a wearable head device. A request is made to a host device for data associated with a second version of the virtual three-dimensional model, wherein the second version of the virtual three-dimensional model comprises a constituent part. It is determined whether the first version of the virtual three-dimensional model comprises the constituent part. In accordance with a determination that the first version of the virtual three-dimensional model does not comprise the constituent part, a request is made to the host device for data associated with the constituent part. The second version of the virtual three-dimensional model is displayed, via the display of the wearable head device. In accordance with a determination that the first version of the virtual three-dimensional model comprises the constituent part, a request is not made to the host device for data associated with the constituent part.
Sprite strip renderer
Techniques are disclosed for generating 2D images of a 3D avatar in a virtual world. In one embodiment, a request is received specifying customizations to the 3D avatar. The 2D images are generated based on the request, each 2D image representing the 3D avatar from a different viewing angle in the virtual world. Advantageously, the 2D images may be sent to a client for display, without requiring the client to render the 3D avatar.
Method for displaying advertisement picture, method for uploading advertisement picture, and apparatus
A method for displaying an advertisement picture includes obtaining, by a terminal, location information of a first key information area in a first advertisement picture from an advertisement server, obtaining, by the terminal, the first advertisement picture, cropping, by the terminal, the first advertisement picture based on the location information, and displaying, by the terminal, a second advertisement picture in an advertisement display area of a display, where the second advertisement picture includes a second key information area, and the second advertisement picture is obtained after the first advertisement picture is cropped, or the second advertisement picture is a picture obtained by scaling the cropped first advertisement picture.
DECLARATIVELY DEFINED USER INTERFACE TIMELINE VIEWS
A device implementing a system to render user interface timeline views for display of dynamic application content includes a processor configured to retrieve a data structure corresponding to user interfaces of an application associated with respective times, and at least one declaratively defined user interface element. The processor is further configured to determine whether a rendering cost of a plurality of the user interfaces complies with an update budget of the application, where the rendering cost includes interpreting the at least one declaratively defined user interface element for the respective times. When the rendering cost is determined to comply, the processor is further configured to render the plurality of the user interfaces in advance of the respective times associated with the plurality of the user interfaces. The processor is further configured to display at least one of the rendered plurality of the user interfaces based on a current time.
TILE MAP SERVICE DEVICE AND METHOD
A tile map service (TMS) device and method are provided. The TMS device includes a storage configured to store map layers that have different map types, map data of an image tile form having a level of detail (LOD) structure of each of the map layers, and a tile map in which image tile maps of a plurality of map layers are merged; a communicator configured to receive map request information including two or more map types, an LOD level, and arbitrary map coordinates from a client; and a provider configured to provide a tile map corresponding to the map request information to the client.
CLOUD-BASED VIRTUAL REALITY PROJECT SYSTEM
Cloud-based virtual reality content processing methods and systems are disclosed. In some embodiments, raw virtual reality video data recorded by a virtual reality camera system may be received at a cloud based server through a network interface. The raw virtual reality video data may be processed to generate one or more virtual reality renders. A first virtual reality content may be processed in a first virtual reality format from the one or more virtual reality renders. A second virtual reality content may be processed in a second virtual reality format from the one or more virtual reality renders. The first virtual reality content and the second virtual reality content may be provided for download through a network interface.
Real-time potentially visible set for streaming rendering
The invention relates to a method for transmitting 3D model data, the 3D model data comprising polygons, from a server to a client for rendering, the method comprising: obtaining the 3D model data by the server; and transmitting the 3D model data from the server to the client. According to the invention, the 3D model data is obtained by the server, based on a given multitude of possible views.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR RENDERING OBJECTS IN AN EXTENDED REALITY
A system and method for rendering objects in a virtual/augmented reality environment. The system includes a processor and a memory including a set of instructions. An execution of the set of instructions may cause the processor to render a user environment representative of a 3-Dimensional (3D) map and 3D space position data. The user environment may be rendered on a display device of a user by using a rendering engine of the system. The processor may configure a responsive extended reality (XR) zone within the rendered user environment through a zone engine. The XR zone may be adapted to provision contextually aware information pertaining to one or more virtual features, data, and objects that are dynamically calibrated based on real-time changes in parameters associated with the user environment.
