SIMULATING AND EDITING OF GARMENT OF HIERARCHICAL STRUCTURE
A method and apparatus for simulating a garment according to an example embodiment receive a user input for selecting, in a simulated three-dimensional (3D) garment worn on an avatar, any one of a plurality of objects corresponding to a next depth level to a depth level which is being currently displayed among depth levels for hierarchically displaying one or more pieces included in the 3D garment and two-dimensional (2D) patterns forming each of the pieces, display the next depth level by controlling visualization of the plurality of objects such that the selected object is not covered by at least one of the remaining objects other than the selected object of the plurality of objects, deform the selected object based on an input for editing the selected object corresponding to the next depth level, deform the 3D garment by reflecting deformation of the selected object, and output the deformed 3D garment.
BODY NORMAL NETWORK LIGHT AND RENDERING CONTROL
Methods and systems are disclosed for performing operations for applying augmented reality elements to a fashion item. The operations include receiving an image that includes a depiction of a person wearing a fashion item. The operations include generating a segmentation of the fashion item worn by the person depicted in the image. The operations include extracting a portion of the image corresponding to the segmentation of the fashion item; estimating an angle of each pixel in the portion of the image relative to a camera used to capture the image. The operations include applying one or more augmented reality elements to the fashion item in the image based on the estimated angle of each pixel in the portion of the image relative to the camera used to capture the image.
REPRESENTATION OF A USER IN VIRTUAL OUTFITS FROM A VIRTUAL WARDROBE
A method and a virtual dressing system (VDS) for rendering a representation of a user in outfits from a virtual wardrobe are provided. The VDS acquires images of outfits via scanning using a camera or from a user device to store the images in a virtual wardrobe. The VDS acquires and displays on an interactive full-length display panel weather information of predetermined locations. The VDS scans the body of the user to generate a user image and selects outfits appropriate to the acquired weather and dimensions of the generated user image from images of outfits in the virtual wardrobe or in preselected locations on a computer network. The VDS displays the images of the selected outfits. On receiving a choice of an outfit from the user, the VDS renders a representation of the user in the chosen outfit on the full-length interactive display panel, updating the rendition on request.
Methods and systems for generating a resolved threedimensional (R3D) avatar
Disclosed is a method and system for aligning separately created 3-D mesh of a body and head of a user for resolved 3-D avatar construction, comprising the steps of: estimating frame-to-frame pixel correspondences among selected frames for each of a separately captured body and head frame for creating a 3-D mesh for each of the body and the head; aligning the body 3-D mesh with the head 3-D mesh; and applying texturing to the aligned 3-D mesh by projecting the colors frames to the mesh posed in each frame pose and averaging the textures, thereby constructing a resolved 3-D avatar of the user.
Automatically generating apparel collection imagery
A system automatically generates apparel collection imagery from user-provided imagery. The user-provided imagery includes images of people wearing one or more garments. The system uses segmenting analysis to analyze the user-provided image to identify locations of the garment. From the locations of the garments, the system can determine which garments from an apparel collection can be used to replace those in the user-provided imagery. The system uses pose estimation on the user-provided imagery and modifies a preview image of a replacement garment from the collection. This modified replacement garment image is used to replace the garment in the user-provided imagery.
Shadow neutral 3-D garment rendering
A tool allows a user to create new designs for apparel and preview these designs in three dimensions before manufacture. Software and lasers are used in finishing apparel to produce a desired wear pattern or other design. Based on a laser input file with a pattern, a laser will burn the pattern onto apparel. With the tool, the user will be able to create, make changes, and view images of a design, in real time, before burning by a laser. Input to the tool includes fabric template images, laser input files, and damage input. The tool allows adding of tinting and adjusting of intensity and bright point. The user can also move, rotate, scale, and warp the image input.
Retail Structure with Shipping Container Space
A structure has spaces that can accommodate at least two International Organization for Standardization compliant shipping containers. The structure has studs, joists, and rafters connected together above, besides, between, and in front of the spaces for the shipping containers. The structure provides for an attractive outdoor retail space with shading, allowing for signage, decorations, product display, ergonomics, and other retail design features. In an implementation, the structure is for a mobile retail space that is tailored for customizing and manufacture of the customized apparel, especially the laser finishing of products like jeans. The mobile retail space can be relocated to and deployed easily at various events, such as sports events and music festival venues.
DIGITAL GARMENT GENERATION
In one embodiment, a method includes generating a front panel of a garment based on one or more images including the garment, generating a back panel of the garment, aligning the front panel and the back panel in a three-dimensional space so that the front panel is in front of a three-dimensional body and the back panel is behind the three-dimensional body, identifying one or more pairs of boundary segments of the front panel and the back panel, wherein each pair of boundary segments of the front panel and the back panel are to be attached together, and generating a digital garment by attaching each of the identified one or more pairs of boundary segments of the front panel and the back panel through a plurality of iterative simulations using a physics simulation model.
CONTROLLABLE IMAGE-BASED VIRTUAL TRY-ON SYSTEM
The invention concerns a method and a system of generating high-resolution digital try-on images of human models wearing arbitrary combinations of garments and shoes with faithfully represented spatial interrelationships and transformations using a system of neural networks. The method allows for a realistic representation and combination of neutral garment images from different sources on a human body model and has a potential for commercial use in online shopping experiences. The input of the system is 2D human body, garment, and shoe images. The method involves adjusting the human body to the position of the shoes, taking steps to create a controllable intermediate representation that predicts the garments' position and deformation on the body, and creating a semantic layout of the body wearing the garments. The method allows for adjusting the position and the dimension of every garment, including the creation of tucked-in tops and open or closed outerwear.
PREDICTION OF CONTACT POINTS BETWEEN 3D MODELS
According to an aspect, a method includes receiving a first three-dimensional model (3D) model of at least a body part of a person, receiving a second 3D model of a wearable device, and predicting, by at least one machine-learning (ML) model, a plurality of contact points between the first 3D model and the second 3D model.
