FLUID SIMULATIONS USING ONE OR MORE NEURAL NETWORKS
Approaches in accordance with various embodiments provide for fluid simulation with substantially reduced time and memory requirements with respect to conventional approaches. In particular, various embodiments can perform time and energy efficient, large scale fluid simulation on processing hardware using a method that does not solve for the Navier-Stokes equations to enforce incompressibility. Instead, various embodiments generate a density tensor and rigid body map tensor for a large number of particles contained in a sub-domain. Collectively, the density tensor and rigid body map may represent input channels of a network with three spatial-dimensions. The network may apply a series of operations to the input channels to predict an updated position and updated velocity for each particle at the end of a frame. Such approaches can handle tens of millions of particles within a virtually unbounded simulation domain, as compared to classical approaches that solve for the Navier-Stokes equations.
High resolution simulation of liquids

The subject matter of this document can be embodied in a method that includes obtaining one or more data arrays representing low frequency spatial features of a simulated volume of liquid, and up-sampling the one or more data arrays to produce corresponding high resolution data arrays. The method also includes obtaining procedural data representing high frequency spatial features of a simulated liquid surface, and modifying the one or more high resolution data arrays using the procedural data to produce corresponding modified data arrays that reflect both the high frequency and the low frequency spatial features of the simulated volume of liquid.

Appearance Transfer Techniques Maintaining Temporal Coherence
Appearance transfer techniques are described in the following that maintain temporal coherence between frames. In one example, a previous frame of a target video is warped that occurs in the sequence of the target video before a particular frame being synthesized. Color of the particular frame is transferred from an appearance of a corresponding frame of a video exemplar. In a further example, emitter portions are identified and addressed to preserve temporal coherence. This is performed to reduce an influence of the emitter portion of the target region in the selection of patches.
Appearance Transfer Techniques
Appearance transfer techniques are described in the following. In one example, a search and vote process is configured to select patches from the image exemplar and then search for a location in the target image that is a best fit for the patches. As part of this selection, a patch usage counter may also be employed in an example to ensure that selection of each of the patches from the image exemplar does not vary by more than one, one to another. In another example, transfer of an appearance of a boundary and interiors regions from the image exemplar to a target image is preserved.
NON TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING A COMPUTER
The present invention causes a computer to function as a virtual space generating unit, a game screen displaying unit and a fluid displaying unit.
A fluid displaying unit displays pseudo three-dimensional representation of fluid in virtual space on a game screen. And the fluid displaying includes a model setting unit, a polygon mesh setting unit and a fluid setting unit. The model setting unit sets a predetermined linear model on the virtual space and moves a basis portion of the linear model to a predetermined direction, and moves the linear model to follow virtual points which are shot from the basis portion at intervals and which move to follow a predetermined track including the basis portion as a starting point.
