Device control method for estimating a state of an animal and for determining a control detail for an electronic device

An electronic device including: a living thing state estimator that determines whether or not at least an animal other than a human is present in a space based on information on the space in which the electronic device is disposed, and estimates a state of the animal that is determined to be present; and a control detail determiner that determines a control detail for the electronic device, according to a result of the determination or the estimated state of the animal.

Simulation Augmented Reality System For Emergent Behavior

Embodiments of the present invention provide an augmented reality by defining a model representing a real-world system. After defining the model, a plurality of model simulations are performed using the defined model which produce predicted field data that is stored in memory. In turn, data from one or more sensors in the real-world system is received and the defined model is calibrated using the received field data relative to the stored predicted field data. Then, an augmented reality of the real-world system is provided using the calibrated model.

Web-based three-dimensional extended reality workspace editor

One or more disclosed techniques comprise generating an extended reality (XR) template at a first location, where the XR template represents a virtual space in an XR environment that is associated with a real-world object at a second location, and generating a template object that represents the real-world object, wherein the template object is included in the XR template. The techniques further comprise modifying the template object to include a marker that corresponds to a real-world marker associated with the real-world object, generating a first template XR object that corresponds a first XR object to be displayed in the XR environment, where the first template XR object is positioned within the XR template relative to the marker included on the template object, and assigning the XR template to the real-world marker.

Micro doppler presentations in head worn computing

Aspects of the present disclosure relate to visual presentation techniques for micro-Doppler signatures. A method may include receiving a micro Doppler signature indicative of a projectile flight path, identifying a beginning trace marker and a termination trace marker, and presenting in a head-worn computing system field of view digital content representative of the projectile flight path, wherein the beginning trace marker and termination trace marker provide a world-lock perspective for a wearer of the head-worn computing system such that the digital content appears to remain referenced to the environment independent of a position of the head-worn computing system.

Systems and methods for representing, accessing, and moving within a three-dimensional environment using a mutable tree data structure

Disclosed is a system and associated methods for generating a mutable tree to efficiently access data within a three-dimensional (“3D”) environment. The system generates the mutable tree with a root node defined at a root node position, a first branch with nodes for each of a first set of subdivided regions that are a first distance from the root node position, and a second branch with nodes for each of a second set of subdivided regions that are a second distance from the root node position. The system sorts the mutable tree in response to a request to access data from a first position within the 3D environment so that the first node in the first branch is the first subtree node that is closest to the first position, and the first node in the second branch is the second subtree node that is closest to the first position.

Virtual reality streaming

A cloud network server system, a method, and a software program product for experiencing a three-dimensional (3D) model are provided. 3D model data associated with a 3D video game is uploaded to the cloud network server system. The system is used to design for example a computer game that renders non-spatial characteristics such as, smell, reflection and/or refraction of light, wind direction, sound reflection, etc., along with spatial and visibility information associated with 3D objects displayed in the 3D video game. Different versions of the 3D model are created based on memory, streaming bandwidth, and/or processing power requirements of different user terminal computers. Based on a virtual location of a user in the 3D model, parts of at least one version of the 3D model are rendered to the user.

TECHNIQUES FOR CONVERSION OF CAD DESCRIPTIONS

In one embodiment, techniques are provided for converting a CAD description maintained in a first storage format (e.g., a file-based storage format) of a source repository to a second storage format (e.g., a relational database-based storage format) of an output repository. The techniques may, generate a single, coherent representation from spatially ambiguous “fragments” by generating an acyclic model graph for each graphical view, and then storing models of the acyclic model graph in the second storage format (e.g., the relational database-based storage format). The techniques may further produce a post-conversion CAD description that preserves human-readable names and information relationships related to levels by examining attachment specific copies of level structures (i.e. levels and attached levels) referenced from attachments, and generating from these categories and subcategories in the second storage format (e.g., the relational database-based storage format).

Creation of an obstacle map

A method for creating an obstacle map of an area surrounding a motor vehicle on a road includes preparing a rasterized obstacle map, scanning an area surrounding the motor vehicle, dividing the surrounding into cells, recording those of the cells that are occupied by an obstacle, and identifying grid points of the obstacle map that correspond to occupied cells in the surrounding area. The dimensions of the cells are determined as a function of the position thereof relative to the course of the road.

Systems and methods are described for providing spatial content using a hybrid format. In some embodiments, a client device receives, from a server, surface light field representations of a plurality of scene elements in a 3D scene, including a first scene element. The client device provides to the server an indication of a dynamic behavior of a second scene element different from the first scene element. Further, in response to the indication, the client device receives from the server information defining the first scene element in a 3D asset format. The client device then renders at least the first scene element in the 3D asset format.

Augmented reality display of dynamic target object information

A method for providing target object information to a mobile device user is presented. The method includes receiving a request for target object information from a mobile device, determining the pose of the mobile interface device relative to the target object, and obtaining target object data for one or more measurable target object parameters (e.g., surface topography). The target object data is used to assemble augmented reality information configured for viewing in conjunction with a real-time view of the target object captured by the mobile interface device. The target object augmented reality information is then transmitted to the mobile device for display to the user.
