IMAGE PROCESSING DEVICE, IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD, AND PROGRAM
An image processing device for acquiring, with regard to a human object located in a virtual space, map data of the surface of the human object that is used in order to determine the external appearance of a region of the human object corresponding to the skin, acquiring state information indicating the state in the virtual space, and correcting a value included in the map data on the basis of the acquired state information, and the image processing device draws a spatial image illustrating an appearance of the virtual space by using the corrected map data.
VIRTUAL AREA GENERATION AND MANIPULATION
Techniques for virtual area generation and manipulation are described herein. The described techniques may be used, for example, for virtual areas in electronically presented content items, such as video games and other media items. In some examples, one or more interfaces may be provided that allow content developers to provide and specify a set of rules associated with the virtual area. The set of rules may include, for example, terrain rules, object rules, and other rules associated with other aspects of the virtual area. The terrain rules may include rules for generating, distributing, and/or manipulating different types of terrain, such as such as flat and/or buildable space, mountains, valleys, berms, rivers, lakes, oceans, deserts, forests, and many others. The object rules may include rules for generating, distributing, and/or manipulating different types of objects, such as trees, bushes, rocks, snow, grass, fish, birds, animals, people, vehicles, buildings, and others.
COMPUTING CONTOUR MAP USING TOPOLOGICAL CASES AND CLASSIFIER CASES
A computing device including one or more processing devices configured to receive raster data including raster data values. The processing devices obtain classifier grid data including classification values selected from among two or more classes. The processing devices generate a contour map by, for each of the classes, generating contour segments connecting pairs of grid locations included in the raster data. Generating the contour segments includes computing respective topological cases of cells of a superimposed grid, which includes cells of the raster data that are associated with respective classification values. Generating the contour segments further includes computing respective classifier cases of the cells. The contour segments are computed based on the topological cases and classifier cases of the cells and are combined into contours. The contour map is computed as a visual representation of the contours. The processing devices output the contour map for display at a display device.
Generating and modifying an artificial reality environment using occlusion surfaces at predetermined distances
A method includes generating a depth map of a real environment as seen from a viewpoint that comprises pixels having corresponding depth values of one or more physical objects. A first two-dimensional occlusion surface is generated representing at least a visible portion of the one or more physical objects located within a first predetermined depth range defined relative to the viewpoint. A second two-dimensional occlusion surface is generated such that a minimum depth of a second predetermined depth range is greater than a maximum depth of the first predetermined depth range. The first and second occlusion surfaces are posed in a three-dimensional coordinate system. The visibility of a virtual object is determined relative to the one or more physical objects by comparing a model of the virtual object with the first and second occlusion surfaces, and an output image is generated based on the visibility of the virtual object.
MODELING CONFIGURABLE ATMOSPHERIC CONDITIONS USING POINT CLOUDS FOR SENSOR SIMULATION
In various examples, systems and methods are disclosed relating to transforming sensor measurements according to configurable atmospheric conditions. One or more circuits can identify a point cloud comprising a plurality of points and a parameter of a weather condition to simulate and modify an intensity of at least one of the plurality of points according to the parameter of the weather condition. The one or more circuits can update, based at least on a subset of the plurality of points and the parameter of the weather condition, the point cloud to include one or more additional points.
AUGMENTED REALITY SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE
A refuse vehicle includes a chassis, a body assembly, an actuator assembly, an output device, and a control system. The actuator assembly is configured to engage with a refuse container. A portion of the actuator assembly is occluded from an operator's view. The output device provides a display. The control system is configured to monitor an operation of the actuator assembly, monitor a location of the refuse container, a portion of the refuse container occluded from the operator's view, generate a graphical representation of at least one of the actuator assembly during operation that includes the portion of the actuator assembly that is occluded or the refuse container that includes the portion of the refuse container that is occluded, and overlay, by the output device, the graphical representation of at least one of the actuator assembly or the refuse container onto the display.
