METHOD OF IDENTIFYING SIMILARS IN CLOTHING IMAGES
Described herein is a system and computer implemented method for finding similars for a selected clothing image amongst a set of clothing images in an electronic catalog in an online store serving online customers. An object detection model is applied to extract the clothing section within the clothing images to create a preprocessed image. A first machine learning model is applied on the preprocessed image(s) to convert the colors and textures of said preprocessed image into a first set of vector representations. A second machine learning model is applied on the preprocessed image(s) to convert the shapes of said preprocessed image into a second set of vector representations. Operations of mapping nearest vectors, matching attributes, sorting and ranking are performed, and thereafter similar images are displayed to the online customer.

A computer, including a processor and a memory, the memory including instructions to be executed by the processor to train a generative adversarial network (GAN) to reconstruct a missing portion of an image by determining a reconstructed portion of the image based on data from portions of the image surrounding the missing portion and compare an acquired image with the reconstructed portion of the image to determine a damaged portion. The instructions further include instructions to determine estimated damage based on the damaged portion.

A method for extracting sentiments or mood from art images includes: receiving at least one of the art images as an input image; preprocessing the input image; extracting features from the preprocessed input image, the extracting including predicting a color label corresponding to a dominant perceptual color detected from the preprocessed input image a dominant subject from the preprocessed input image, detecting low-level image features from the preprocessed input image, and extracting mood feature information based on a description information included in the input image; classifying the extracted features into a plurality of mood/sentiments classes, using an artificial neural network; and predicting at least one of a mood or a sentiment that is present in the input image based on the dominant perceptual color and the plurality of mood/sentiments classes.
