METHOD FOR IDENTIFYING INDUSTRIAL CABLES
In order for a supplier of industrial cables to reduce personnel costs and to guarantee customers a consistently high quality standard promptly and reliably, even for global data traffic, a method for identifying industrial cables, comprising the following steps, is proposed: a. automatic visual identification of multiple different components of an industrial cable, from at least one image file; b. analysis of the geometric relationships and/or functional connections between the components; and c. extraction of individual characteristics of the components from the image file using information obtained in step b. A combination of the visual analysis with existing knowledge, also with the possible option of adding trained knowledge, allows an extremely reliably-functioning method for recognizing industrial cables to be provided.

INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM IN A REFRIGERATOR APPLIANCE
A refrigerator appliance is provided including a cabinet defining a chilled chamber, a door rotatably hinged to the cabinet to provide selective access to the chilled chamber, and an inventory management system mounted within the chilled chamber for monitoring objects positioned within the chilled chamber. The inventory management system includes a camera assembly that obtains a plurality of images of food items as they are being added to or removed from the chilled chamber. A controller of the appliance analyzes the images using a machine learning image recognition process to identify an object and monitor the object between different images to determine a motion vector associated with its movement.

An image recognition device and method retrieve information on a marker. The marker encodes information identifying an asset by encoding the information in a binary pattern as recesses and non-recesses in the marker. The image recognition is performed by imaging the marker, mapping contrast in the image, identifying variations in the contrast, creating a mesh overlaying the image, identifying the present or absence of recesses from the mesh, and reading the binary pattern represented by the recesses in the marker.
