Device with built-in bill capture, analysis, and execution
Systems and methods for secure and efficient bill capture, analysis, and execution are provided. A method may include capturing, via a camera embedded in a smart card, an image of a bill. The bill may include a plurality of text fields. The method may include processing the text fields via a microprocessor embedded in the smart card. The method may include determining, based at least in part on the processing of the text fields, a balance amount and a payment recipient associated with the bill. The method may also include executing a payment for the balance amount from an account associated with a user of the smart card to an account associated with the payment recipient. The executing may be performed via a wireless communication element embedded in the smart card which may be configured to provide wireless communication between the smart card and a payment gateway.
System and method thereof for determining vendor's identity based on network analysis methodology
A system and method for classifying digital images is presented. The method includes extracting a plurality of descriptive data items of a transaction evidence from a digital image indicating a plurality of purchased items; searching in data source for informative data based on the extracted plurality of descriptive data items, wherein the informative data includes a price; determining a correlated amount for each of at least one of the plurality of descriptive data items, wherein the correlated amount determined for one of the descriptive data items defines a paid price for the descriptive data item; determining, based on at least one expense type classification rule, a primary expense type of the transaction evidence, wherein the at least one expense type classification rule is applied to the plurality of descriptive data items and each of the correlated amount; and classifying the digital image based on the primary expense type.
Information processing system that executes a process on image data correspondng to a selected profile
An information processing system includes an image processing apparatus capable of obtaining image data and a server-for-service connected with the image processing apparatus through a network. The server-for-service holds profile information, which defines processing executed on the image data uploaded from the image processing apparatus, in association with authorization information on a user. Thereafter, the server-for-service executes the processing in accordance with the profile information on the image data in response to a request from a terminal device or the image processing apparatus.
Visual domain detection systems and methods
Disclosed is an effective domain name defense solution in which a domain name string may be provided to or obtained by a computer embodying a visual domain analyzer. The domain name string may be rendered or otherwise converted to an image. An optical character recognition function may be applied to the image to read out a text string which can then be compared with a protected domain name to determine whether the text string generated by the optical character recognition function from the image converted from the domain name string is similar to or matches the protected domain name. This visual domain analysis can be dynamically applied in an online process or proactively applied in an offline process to hundreds of millions of domain names.
Image reading apparatus comprising a processor that detects an abnormal pixel, and outputs an image obtained by a first processing or second processing based on if character recognition processing of a character obtained by first processing is the same as the character obtained by the second processing
An image reading apparatus includes a conveyance unit configured to convey an original; a reading unit comprising a reading sensor, the reading sensor having a light receiving element to receive light of a first color and a light receiving element to receive light of a second color that is different from the first color, wherein the reading unit is configured to read an image of the original conveyed by the conveyance unit by using the reading sensor to generate image data which represents a reading result of the reading unit; at least one processor configured to: determine a first abnormal position that is a position in a first direction of an abnormal pixel of the first color in an image represented by the image data.
Systems and Methods for Enhancing Trainable Optical Character Recognition (OCR) Performance
Systems and methods for enhancing trainable optical character recognition (OCR) performance are disclosed herein. An example method includes receiving, at an application executing on a user computing device communicatively coupled to a machine vision camera, an image captured by the machine vision camera, the image including an indicia encoding a payload and a character string. The example method also includes identifying the indicia and the character string; decoding the indicia to determine the payload; and applying an optical character recognition (OCR) algorithm to the image to interpret the character string and identify an unrecognized character within the character string. The example method also includes comparing the payload to the character string to validate the unrecognized character as corresponding to a known character included within the payload; and responsive to validating the unrecognized character, adding the unrecognized character to a font library referenced by the OCR algorithm.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY STORAGE MEDIUM FOR THE SAME
An information processing apparatus acquires a plurality of lists including one or more rows from table data including a plurality of columns and a plurality of rows, based on a value of one column in the plurality of columns and extracts, based on a list including a predetermined search key among the acquired plurality of lists, a value corresponding to the search key. Thus, for example, even in a case where there is no character string on the right side of the search key, value information corresponding to the search key is extractable.
Generating space models from map files
A map file includes two-dimensional or three-dimensional geometric data items collectively representing layout of a building. The map file is parsed and the geometric data items are analyzed to identify building elements including rooms, floors, and objects of the building, and to identify containment relationships between the elements. A space model having a space graph is constructed. The space graph includes nodes that correspond to the respective building elements and links forming relationships between nodes that correspond to the identified containment relationships. Each node may include node metadata, rules or code that operate on the metadata, and a node type that corresponds to a type of physical space. Some nodes may include user representations or device representations that represent physical sensors associated therewith. The representations may receive data from the respectively represented sensors, and the sensor data becomes available via the space model.
Semantic cluster formation in deep learning intelligent assistants
Enhanced techniques and circuitry are presented herein for providing responses to questions from among digital documentation sources spanning various documentation formats, versions, and types. One example includes a method comprising receiving an indication of a question directed to subject having a documentation corpus, determining a set of passages of the documentation corpus related to the question, ranking the set of passages according to relevance to the question, forming semantic clusters comprising sentences extracted from ranked ones of the set of passages according to sentence similarity, and providing a response to the question based at least on a selected semantic cluster.
Multi-step document information extraction
Briefly, embodiments of a system, method, and article for receiving a document from a remote device and identifying items in the document. Various operations may be performed based on one or more dependencies of the identified items. For example, additional items may be identified in the document. One or more of the identified items may be parsed. A correspondence between the identified items and a second set of items may be determined. The identified items may be validated based on a set of rules. One or more of the identified items may be transmitted to the remote device in response to the performance of the various operations.
