COGNITIVE EVALUATION OF ACQUISITION CANDIDATES
An embodiment includes initiating a search engine to conduct a first search of a data resource for information associated with an acquisition candidate using search criteria provided via a user interface. The embodiment receives a first search result from the search engine comprising an information dataset associated with the acquisition candidate. The embodiment generates a candidate rating for the acquisition candidate indicative of a performance metric for the acquisition candidate relative to another acquisition candidate. The embodiment initiates the search engine to conduct a second search of the data resource using search criteria extracted from the information dataset. The embodiment receives a second search result from the search engine comprising due-diligence data. The embodiment calculates an updated candidate rating for the acquisition candidate based on the cognitive analysis of the due-diligence data and uses the updated rating to provide a recommendation regarding the acquisition candidate.
TOUCH-FREE DOCUMENT READING AT A SELF-SERVICE STATION IN A TRANSIT ENVIRONMENT
Embodiments generally relate to systems, methods, and processes that may use touch-free document reading at self-service interaction stations. Some embodiments relate to a self service station for conducting a passenger interaction process in transit environment, including, a display screen to display a visual prompt to present a travel document in a field of view of a video image recording device as part of the passenger interaction process, and configured to determine from the received live video images a document face image present on the travel document, to determine from the received live video images a machine-readable zone (MRZ) of the travel document and store a captured MRZ image of the MRZ, to process the captured MRZ image to determine identification information on the travel document, and store the document face image and the identification information for use in the passenger interaction process.
Digital camera processing system
A digital camera processing system with software to manage taking photos with a digital camera. Camera software controls the digital camera. A downloaded software component controls the digital camera software and causes a handheld mobile device to perform operations. The operations may include instructing a user to have the digital camera take photos of a check; displaying an instruction on a display of the handheld mobile device to assist the user in having the digital camera take the photos; or assisting the user as to an orientation for taking the photos with the digital camera. The digital camera processing system may generate a log file including a bi-tonal image formatted as a TIFF image.

Systems and methods for image matching and retrieval process
Various embodiments of systems and methods for image matching and retrieval process are disclosed.
System for third party sellers in online retail environment
A third party item listing management system useable for validation of third party items to be included on a retailer website is disclosed. The third party item listing management system includes an application programming interface (API) accessible by a plurality of third parties and configured to receive item data. An item management process receives the item data and calls an item validation pipeline which includes a plurality of item validation stages including an item legalization stage. In the item legalization stage, the item data and the identity of the third party are validated against a plurality of item listing rules to determine whether the one or more items are allowed to be offered via the retailer website by the third party. The item listing rules can include a rule preventing the third party from listing an item included in a core item collection offered by the retailer via the retailer website.
Training digital content classification models utilizing batchwise weighted loss functions and scaled padding based on source density
Methods, systems, and non-transitory computer readable storage media are disclosed for training a machine-learning model utilizing batchwise weighted loss functions and scaled padding based on source density. For example, the disclosed systems can determine a density of words or phrases in digital content from a digital content source that indicate an affinity towards one or more content classes. In some embodiments, the disclosed systems can use the determined source density to split digital content from the source into segments and pad the segments with padding characters based on the source density. The disclosed systems can also generate document embeddings using the padded segments and then train the machine-learning model using the document embeddings. Furthermore, the disclosed system can use batchwise weighted cross entropy loss for applying different class weightings on a per-batch basis during training of the machine-learning model.
GENERALIZED ANOMALY DETECTION
Described are methods and systems for training a system for detecting anomalies in images of documents in a class of documents. A plurality of training document images of training documents in a class of documents are obtained. For each training document image, the training document image is segmented into a plurality of region of interest (ROI) images, each ROI image corresponding to a respective ROI of the training document. For each ROI image, a plurality of transformations are applied to the ROI image to generate respective transform-specific features for the ROI image and respective transform-specific anomaly scores from the transform-specific features. Based on the respective anomaly scores of the plurality of training document images, a transform-specific threshold is computed for each transformation to separate document images containing an anomaly from document images not containing an anomaly.
