Recovering timing information from DNA encoded data
11580413 · 2023-02-14 · ·

Systems and methods for timing recovery in DNA storage systems is described. In one embodiment, the present systems and methods include generating a unique pattern of DNA bases and use the unique pattern for a phase-locked loop (PLL) field of a data layout, generating a multidimensional mapping, configuring the multidimensional mapping to include one or more prohibited sequences of DNA bases, identifying a prohibited sequence from the multidimensional mapping and use the prohibited sequence for one or more synch-mark (SM) fields of the data layout, prohibiting a User Data field from using any of the prohibited sequences of DNA bases when converting binary data to DNA bases, identifying random insertion and/or deletion of DNA bases in the User Data field, and repairing the random insertion and/or deletion of DNA bases in the User Data field.

A method for simulating a rendering of a makeup product on a body area including the steps of: acquiring an image of the body area without makeup of a subject, determining first color parameters of the pixels of the image corresponding to the body area without makeup, identifying the pixels of the body area without makeup exhibiting highest brightness or red component value, and determining second color parameters of the pixels of the image corresponding to the body area, wherein the second color parameters render a making up of the body area by the makeup product.

Device, method and system for estimating elevation in images from camera devices
11580661 · 2023-02-14 · ·

A device, method and system for estimating elevation in images from camera devices is provided. The device detects humans at respective positions in images from a camera device, the camera device having a fixed orientation and fixed focal length. The device estimates, for the humans in the images, respective elevations of the humans, relative to the camera device, at the respective positions based at least on camera device parameters defining the fixed orientation and the fixed focal length. The device associates the respective elevations with the respective positions in the images. The device determines, using the respective elevations associated with the respective positions, a function that estimates elevation in an image from the camera device, using a respective image position coordinate as an input. The device provides the function to a video analytics engine to determine relative real-world positions in subsequent images from the camera device.

Apparatus and methods are disclosed for detecting motion between two subassemblies, for example in or near a litter box. A first subassembly includes a first frame adapted for supporting a receptacle. A second subassembly includes a second frame adapted for resting on a steady surface. Connecting members connect the subassemblies such that relative movement between them can occur. At least a first position indicating member is attached to one the subassemblies and at least a first detector is attached to the other of the subassemblies. The detector is positioned proximate the first position indicating member so that changes in relative position are detected. Preferably, the device includes a second position indicating member and a second detector for detecting more precise changes in relative position. It is also preferred for each position indicating member to include a patterned marker.

Artificial reality collaborative working environments

Aspects of the present disclosure are directed to creating and administering artificial reality collaborative working environments and providing interaction modes for them. An XR work system can provide and control such artificial reality collaborative working environments to enable, for example, A) links between real-world surfaces and XR surfaces; B) links between multiple real-world areas to XR areas with dedicated functionality; C) maintaining access, while inside the artificial reality working environment, to real-world work tools such as the user's computer screen and keyboard; D) various hand and controller modes for different interaction and collaboration modalities; E) use-based, multi-desk collaborative room configurations; and F) context-based auto population of users and content items into the artificial reality working environment.

Vehicle, vehicle control method and operation management system

A vehicle includes a cabin having a first room and a second room that are capable of accommodating at least one passenger, and configured to isolate one or more passengers accommodated in the first room from one or more passengers accommodated in the second room, a guidance apparatus configured to guide the at least one passenger to be accommodated in either the first room or the second room, and a control apparatus configured to control the guidance apparatus. When a user boards as the at least one passenger, the control apparatus determines which of the first room and the second room the user is to board, based on information regarding the user. The guidance apparatus is configured to guide and board the user to whichever of the first room and the second room determined by the control apparatus.
