DISPLAY DEVICE AND DISPLAY METHOD
In a display device 100, a photographing unit 12 is configured to photograph the surroundings of the display device 100, and the recognizing unit 16 is configured to recognize a clock 300 (a real object regarding a time or date) from a result of the photographing. When the recognizing unit 16 recognizes the clock 300, the schedule obtaining unit 11 is configured to obtain schedule information, and the display controller 17 is configured to display and output the schedule information in accordance with a position of the clock 300. In this case, since the display device 100 displays the schedule information in accordance with the position of the clock 300, the schedule information can be displayed in association with actual environment, and the schedule information can be outputted in a format that is easier to recognize the schedule information.
Kiosks for evaluating and purchasing used electronic devices and related technology
A process for a pre-acquisition auction for recycled electronic devices is disclosed herein. A plurality of pre-acquisition purchase prices are established with each of the plurality of pre-acquisition purchase prices established for a recycled electronic device in a predetermined condition, and each of the pre-acquisition purchase prices established by a winning bid from a bidder of a plurality of bidders for a recycled electronic device.
PILOT SAFETY SYSTEM WITH CONTEXT-SENSITIVE SCAN PATTERN MONITORING AND ALERTING
An aircraft-based pilot safety system (PSS) includes cameras or other gaze sensors fixed at an aircraft pilot and configured to capture an image stream focused on the pilot's eyes. The gaze sensors continually assess the gaze direction of the pilot (e.g., toward a display, instrument panel, and/or indicator within the cockpit that the pilot is currently looking at or focusing on) and thereby can establish when the pilot is executing a scan pattern and if that scan pattern is nominal for the current flight context by comparing the scan pattern to context-specific reference scan patterns. If, for example, the pilot's gaze deviates from where it should be (e.g., as determined by the current flight segment) or the current scan pattern is interrupted, the system may prompt the pilot to redirect their gaze or resume the scan pattern.
Text detection, caret tracking, and active element detection
Detection of typed and/or pasted text, caret tracking, and active element detection for a computing system are disclosed. The location on the screen associated with a computing system where the user has been typing or pasting text, potentially including hot keys or other keys that do not cause visible characters to appear, can be identified and the physical position on the screen where typing or pasting occurred can be provided based on the current resolution of where one or more characters appeared, where the cursor was blinking, or both. This can be done by identifying locations on the screen where changes occurred and performing text recognition and/or caret detection on these locations. The physical position of the typing or pasting activity allows determination of an active or focused element in an application displayed on the screen.
SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND DEVICES FOR AUTOMATED METER READING FOR SMART FIELD PATROL
Methods, systems, and devices for equipment reading in a factory or plant environment are described, including: capturing an image of an environment including a measurement device; detecting a target region included in the image, the target region including at least a portion of the measurement device; determining identification information associated with the measurement device based on detecting the target region; and extracting measurement information associated with the measurement device based on detecting the target region. In some aspects, detecting the target region may include: providing the image to a machine learning network; and receiving an output from the machine learning network in response to the machine learning network processing the image based on a detection model, the output including the target region.
Intelligent image segmentation prior to optical character recognition (OCR)
A medical device monitoring system and method extract information from screen images from medical device controllers, with a single OCR process invocation per screen image, despite critical information appearing in different screen locations, depending on which medical device controller's screen image is processed. For example, different software versions of the medical device controllers might display the same type of information in different screen locations. Copies of the critical screen information, one copy from each different screen location, are made in a mosaic image, and then the mosaic image is OCR processed to produce text results. Text is selectively extracted from the OCR text results, depending on contents of a selector field on the screen image, such as a software version number or a heart pump model identifier.
Method for determining watch face image and electronic device therefor
An aspect of the disclosure is to determine a watch face image, and an operation method of an electronic device according to various embodiments may include: acquiring an image using a camera of the electronic device; displaying a watch face preview matching the acquired image on a display of the electronic device; determining a watch face image from the watch face preview; controlling a transceiver of the electronic device to transmit the watch face image to a smart watch; and applying the watch face image to the smart watch.
SYSTEM FOR TRANSMISSION AND DIGITIZATION OF MACHINE TELEMETRY
A system for digitizing gauges, lights and other human-readable machine gauges and functions and status without interfering with the operation of the machine or requiring reworking or interfering with the existing machine wiring, signaling, electrical or mechanical elements or operating modes, or adding new digitizing equipment to the machine.
EXCHANGE OF DATA BETWEEN AN EXTERNAL DATA SOURCE AND AN INTEGRATED MEDICAL DATA DISPLAY SYSTEM
A method for exchanging data between an external data source for annotations and an integrated medical data display system, comprises: determining information displayed on a screen of the integrated medical data display system by capturing the screen; and performing at least one of (i) selecting data from the external data source assigned to the determined information and displaying the selected data complementary, or (ii) extracting annotations from the integrated medical data display system based on the determined information and appending the extracted annotations to the external data source for annotations.
System and method for coordinating gaming haptic response across peripheral device ecosystem
A haptic peripheral device ecosystem coordination system may comprise a display device displaying a three-dimensional (3D) gaming environment, the processor identifying a gaming action event occurring in the 3D gaming environment, based on a detected action event indicator, and determining a position of the gaming action event relative to a player avatar image within the 3D gaming environment, the processor transmitting a haptic command to a controller for a triggered haptic peripheral device, the haptic command selected based on an identification of the gaming action event, the triggered haptic peripheral device selected from a plurality of peripheral devices based on the position of the gaming action event, the controller for the triggered haptic peripheral causing haptic feedback at the triggered haptic peripheral device at a position relative to the user that is correlated to the position of the gaming action event with respect to the player avatar image.
