It is disclosed an anti-jamming device for a printing apparatus with stacker, for lottery or betting terminals, with a path of a continuous strip of paper, a printing device for printing a document on the strip, a cutting device for separating the document from the strip, a movement device for moving the document laterally to a stacking zone, a movable portion that bounds the path and is moved from the strip in the event of a jam, moving the portion causing printing to be stopped.

A printer includes a print head configured to print on recording paper, a first roller, a cutter unit configured to cut the recording paper, and a presenter unit connected to the cutter unit and having a discharge slot from which the recording paper is discharged, wherein the recording paper on which the print head has printed enters the presenter unit through the cutter unit, and comes out from the discharge slot, and wherein the presenter unit includes a second roller configured to convey the recording paper, a flapper disposed along a transportation path of the recording paper between the second roller and the cutter unit and configured to be flipped open to outside the presenter unit to expose the transportation path, and a recording paper sensor disposed between the second roller and the discharge slot, wherein detection of the recording paper by the recording paper sensor causes the second roller to stop rotating, and causes the flapper to be flipped open to outside the presenter unit.

An instant lottery ticket vending machine configured to determine if its ticket bursters are improperly separating the lottery tickets received from the ticket drawers of the ticket drawer columns, and to make one or more adjustments and/or alert an operator if its ticket bursters are improperly separating the lottery tickets. A printing apparatus that includes a holding unit configured to hold a roll sheet performs supplying the sheet by rotating the roll sheet held by the holding unit; nipping and conveying the supplied sheet; performing printing on the conveyed sheet; detecting occurrence of a print medium jam of the sheet; and, if the printing apparatus has detected a print medium jam of the sheet, performing a control process of supplying the sheet in a state in which the conveying is stopped.
