An electrified vehicle and associated method for controlling an electrified vehicle having an electric machine powered by a traction battery include an autoencoder trained with training data indicative of a remaining driving range of the traction battery. The trained autoencoder processes vehicle operating data to generate a reference data record and determines a value indicative of a similarity between the vehicle operating data and the reference data record. The autoencoder generates an output data record if the value indicative of the similarity is below a predetermined threshold value. The output data record may be used to display an alert or message to a vehicle occupant and/or control the vehicle to reduce power consumption to increase vehicle driving range.

The pattern module identifies a travel pattern of trips of a vehicle and receives vehicle data for the time period from the computing device of the vehicle. The travel pattern includes a path that is repeatedly traveled between an origin and a destination during a time period. The vehicle data includes historical range estimates for the vehicle along the path. The consumption module calculates energy consumption of the vehicle during the time period based on the vehicle data and determines actual remaining range values based on the energy consumption of the vehicle. The prediction module generates predictive range estimates along the path based on the actual remaining range and provides the predictive range estimates for a current trip.

A method is disclosed for monitoring the functions of a friction clutch which is arranged in a vehicle between a drive motor and a compressor of a compressed air supply system and which can be disengaged and engaged pneumatically. In a delivery mode of the compressor, at least one operating parameter is detected by sensor and evaluated in an electronic control unit. When a slipping condition of the friction clutch is identified, a value for a cut-off pressure of the compressor stored in the electronic control unit is reduced. When a slipping condition has been identified, the delivery mode of the compressor is ended by disengagement of the friction clutch, and a warning signal and/or warning information is outputted.
