The sunshade/shield structure invention is practical, portable, and effective in skin care protection and prevention of skin cancer. It can be made as a commercial use product with less portability features or a residential/consumer model which is portable and can be disassembled and reassembled quickly via pins and or shock cords like camping hike tents. Its aerodynamic design is wind resistant and porous so water during a storm won't pool and stress the frame. It can be made of metal materials that are powder coated or high-impact absorbing, UV-protected plastics. The ground frame/base can be extended in length or width for custom chair fitting and stability because the frame sleeves in and out. A sand or ground anchor can be used in the yard or on the beach instead of the ground stand. The leg post interfaces with both ground and sand anchor bases. The ground frame will have two roller wheels so moving will be easy. Tip the shade back and touch the wheels to the hard surface for easy relocating.
UMBRELLA WITH FAN AND RETRACTABLE FAN GUARD
An air fan is secured between two protective cowlings to a lower rib or a stretcher of a patio umbrella or parasol. An actuator mechanism, which may include a Hall sensor, ensures that the fan blades remain parallel to the lower rib (or stretcher) and do not rotate so as not to interfere as the umbrella or parasol is folded. An optional retractable fan guard includes a sliding part that depends from the first cowling and a fixed part that depends from the second cowling, a series of flexible rods linking the sliding part and the fixed part, and a pull cord. The pull cord is fixed at one end to the sliding part, is threaded through the fixed part and is secured at its opposite end to a rib of the plurality of ribs supporting the canopy. The flexible rods bow when the pull cord is tensioned creating a guard screen. The flexible rods straighten when tension is released, facilitating closure of the umbrella or parasol with the air fan still secured to the lower rib.

The present invention is directed to a systems, devices, methods, techniques and kits for a portable and lightweight shade stick that is easy to use, carry and store. Additionally, the product preferably includes a comfortable easy-to-hold handle that can also be used as a clamp for attaching to a folding chair, bench and stadium seat for sporting events, graduations, and other outdoor or well-lighted events where shade is needed. Also, the configuration may be deployed on a shoulder harness across the user, enabling hands-free usage. The device can also include a powered fan and a water spray, providing further cooling.
INTEGRATED PATIO UMBRELLA FAN AND SYSTEM
An umbrella apparatus may comprise a pole. A canopy may be supported by the pole. A fan assembly may be integrated within the pole. The fan assembly may comprise at least one tangential fan configured to generate airflow perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the pole. A height adjustment mechanism may be configured to enable repositioning of the fan assembly along the pole. A power supply system may comprise solar panels integrated into the canopy and a battery module connected to the solar panels. An airflow direction control system may comprise adjustable vanes at an outlet of the fan assembly. A wireless communication interface may be configured for remote control of the fan assembly. The height adjustment mechanism may comprise a clamp assembly with first and second semi-circular sections to encircle the pole. A quick-release lever may be configured to enable single-handed operation of the clamp assembly.
