20170243225 · 2017-08-24 ·

Multi-party computation systems and methods for user biometric authentication. In some embodiments, a biometric authentication service computer receives a user authentication request from an entity, determines user enrollment in the biometric authentication service, transmits a prompt message to a user device for at least one type of user biometric feature data, receives the biometric feature data, determines at least two biometric authentication system computers, separates the user biometric feature data into at least two user biometric data portions, transmits each of those portions to a separate biometric authentication system computer. An authentication message is then received from each of the biometric authentication computer systems, and a positive user authentication response is transmitted to the entity computer when the authentication message from each of the biometric authentication computer systems indicates a positive user authentication.

A smartcard-enabled BPID Security Device integrates a smartcard reader with a biometric authentication component to provide secured access to electronic systems. The device allows for an individual to insert a smartcard into an aperture in the physical enclosure of the BPID Security Device, allowing the smartcard and the BPID Security Device to electronically communicate with each other. The BPID Security Device is based on a custom application specific integrated circuit that incorporates smartcard terminals, such that the BPID Security Device can communicate directly with an inserted smartcard. In an alternative embodiment of the invention, the BPID Security Device is based on a commercial off-the-shelf microprocessor, and may communicate with a commercial off-the-shelf microprocessor smartcard receiver using a serial, USB, or other type of communication protocol. The device allows for enrolling a user's credentials onto the BPID Security Device and for authenticating an individual using the BPID Security Device.

Universal validation module for access control systems
09769164 · 2017-09-19 · ·

A validation module provides for the upgrading of a physical access control system (PACS) to full HSPD-12 compliance without requiring modification or replacement of the existing PACS. The validation module may contain all of the validation functionality required by federal specifications and technical requirements. The validation module may be installed between an existing PACS panel and a supported card/biometric reader. Readers may be selected based on assurance level requirements, e.g., contactless or contact readers for low and medium assurance level areas and full biometric readers for high assurance areas. The validation module may validate a card according to the assurance level setting, extract ID information from data on the card and then pass the ID information to the PACS panel for an access decision. Cardholder data captured by one validation module may be distributed to other validation modules of the PACS using a management station.

ELECTRONIC EMPLOYEE CARD, PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT METHOD

An electronic employee card is disclosed, which includes a control module and a communication module, the control module being configured to be in data communication with a server through the communication module. The control module may control the communication module to transmit the identifying information of an electronic employee card holder captured in real time to the server and obtain a comparing result generated in the server accordingly, which is obtained by comparing the identifying information of the holder captured in real time with personnel identity information prestored in the server; or the control module may obtain the personnel identity information prestored in the server and compare it with the identifying information of the holder captured in real time to generate the comparing result.

BIOMETRIC TICKETING

In biometric ticketing, physical token-less ticketing system using biometrics, a person may be identified using a digital representation of a biometric. Ticketing information may be ascertained based on the identification. The ticketing information may be provided, actions may be performed using the ticketing information, and so on. In some implementations, a checkpoint device receives biometric data from a person. A digital representation of the biometric data is used to obtain an identifier from an identification system. The digital representation of the biometric data may not be included in the identifier. The identifier is used by to obtain ticketing information from a ticketing system. The person may be allowed or denied entry into a ticketed area based on the ticketing information.

IN-VEHICLE INTELLIGENT ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEM AND METHOD
20220237971 · 2022-07-28 ·

An in-vehicle intelligent access control system and method are configured to automate access of a vehicle to an access point. Prior to approach of the vehicle to the access point, an enrollment system stores, in a database, first data identifying a non-human object in a vehicle, second data identifying the vehicle, third data identifying a human occupant of the vehicle, and fourth data identifying an itinerary of the vehicle. An access control management system receives at least the first data from the database. When the vehicle approaches the access point, the system detects the vehicle within a predetermined range of an access point, receives fifth data transmitted by the vehicle, determines a match of the fifth data with at least the first data within a prescribed tolerance, and controls the access point to allow access of the vehicle to a facility if the fifth data matches at least the first data.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR RIDE SHARES INVOLVING HIERARCHICAL DRIVER REFERRALS
20210398180 · 2021-12-23 ·

Systems and methods according to which a mobile application is running on a driver's mobile device for authenticating ride share drivers. When a driver initially registers with a rideshare service, the driver is prompted to provide biometric information via a mobile app running on the driver's mobile device. The biometric information is then stored in a database with a ride share management server in a file associated with the driver's account. Subsequently, when the driver expresses an offer to provide a ride share trip, the server performs an authentication check based on the pre-stored biometric information. Furthermore, the system discloses herein facilitates increased rideshare revenue generation by creating referral chains for a driver when a previously-registered driver, or an affiliate of the rideshare service refers a proposed new driver to the rideshare service and the proposed new driver then registers with the rideshare service.
