Systems and methods for access control using multi-factor validation

Aspects of the present disclosure provide systems and methods for access control using multi-factor validation. In an example, an access control system is designed to be used in conjunction with a first recognition system, such as facial recognition system, a gait recognition system, or audio recognition system, that uses a confidence level to determine whether individuals are authorized to access a restricted area. When the first recognition system is unable to confidently identify the individual, a second recognition system, such as a mobile device system or access card system, may be used to provide second factor verification. Further, stored recognition data may be updated to include information gathered by the first recognition system in response to use of the second factor verification.

Face authentication apparatus

A face authentication apparatus includes a face image acquisition unit that acquires a face image of a user who passes through a first gate provided at a first boundary between zones, a collation unit that performs face authentication on the face image on the basis of a threshold, an operating state acquisition unit that acquires an operating state of a second gate provided at a second boundary that is different from the first boundary, and a threshold change unit that changes the threshold on the basis of the operating state of the second gate.

Information processing apparatus, information processing mei'hod, and program

Provided is an information processing apparatus including: a locking control unit configured to execute a first process of processes for causing a locking unit to unlock, on the basis of detection of access of a first communication terminal; and a detection unit configured to detect an unlocking request by a user of the first communication terminal. The locking control unit executes a second process of the processes for causing the locking unit to unlock, when the unlocking request is detected and the first process is completed.

An access manager determines whether access will be granted to a guarded species or space.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF A DOORBELL DEVICE INITIATING A STATE CHANGE OF AN ACCESS CONTROL DEVICE AND/OR A CONTROL PANEL RESPONSIVE TO TWO-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION
20220237972 · 2022-07-28 ·

Systems and methods of a doorbell device initiating a state change of an access control device and/or a control panel responsive to two-factor authentication are provided. Such systems and methods can include the doorbell device receiving first access credentials from a first device, determining whether the first access credentials are valid, and determining whether the first device has been authenticated with two factors by determining whether an indication of two-factor authentication of the first device has been received from the first device or by soliciting and validating second access credentials from a second device. When the first access credentials are valid and the first device has been authenticated with the two factors, the doorbell device can transmit a state change command to the access control device that controls access to a secured area associated with the doorbell device and/or the control panel that monitors the secured area.

Multi-factor authentication with geolocation and voice command
11201873 · 2021-12-14 · ·

A method of multi-factor authentication is performed by an access control device. In response to detecting a voice command, the access control device sends a query to a location server for a current location of a user equipment (UE) included in a list of trusted UEs. The access control device may then receive an indication of the current location from the location server and in response thereto, the access control device may determine whether the current location of the UE is within a threshold distance of the access control device. If so, the access control device may generate an access signal that indicates that a user associated with the UE is authorized to access a protected resource.

Gesture access control system including a mobile device disposed in a containment carried by a user

A gesture access system adapted to operate in conjunction with a containment carried by a user. The access system includes an access assembly, a mobile device, a storage medium, and a processor. The assembly is adapted to operate between an access and no-access states, and includes a controller, and a signal receiver. The device is disposed in the containment and includes an inertial measurement unit sensor system configured to measure a device motion of the device to conditionally detect an intentional body gesture of the user indicative of an intent to gain access. The intentional body gesture is contrary to routine containment motions caused by routine body motions of the user. The storage medium and the processor are configured to store and execute an application and preprogrammed motion scenario data to analyze the device motion and conditionally send a command signal to the assembly.

ACQUIRING A PLURALITY OF MOBILE CREDENTIALS IN A PLURALITY OF READERS
20220207915 · 2022-06-30 ·

A computer readable medium having executable code that causes one or more processors to: obtain credential data from each of one or more credential devices within a communication range of a reader device; for each user corresponding to the credential data, identify a facial representation for the user; for each user, temporarily store the corresponding facial representation for that user along with the credential data corresponding to that user; capture an image of an access requester and generate a facial representation of the access requester using the image; compare the facial representation of the access requester with one or more of the temporarily stored facial representations; and permit access by the access requester to a secure asset in instances where the likelihood of a match between the facial representation of the access requester and any of the one or more temporarily stored facial representations meets a threshold.
