SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING SECURE ACCESS
Disclosed is a security system including: a first gateway comprising a security access gateway; a first sensor comprising a security sensor, the first sensor engageable to obtain access through the first gateway; a controller operationally connected to the first gateway and the first sensor, the controller being configured for: rending a first determination that the first sensor senses a first security access credential is being presented, and thereafter: rendering a second determining to monitor for compliance with protocols identifying a sequence and a timing scheme for presenting additional security access credentials; rending a further determination including one of: a determination to grant access if the presenting of additional security access credentials complies with the protocols; and a determination to deny access if the presenting of additional security access credentials fails to comply with the protocols.
Conditional and situational biometric authentication and enrollment
The present invention provides a system and method for conditionally selecting biometric modalities for biometric authentication at authentication run time. The system and method employ programmatic logic to identify which biometric modalities to use for authenticating a user. The software module for selecting biometric modalities includes, a plurality of rules or conditional logic for selecting one or more biometric modalities required to authenticate a user requesting a secure action.
Dual card programming for access control system
A method of programming an access control system including presenting an access card and a configuration card to a device; determining a validity of the access card at the device; process the configuration card at the device; decrypting a payload on the configuration card based on information from the access card; using the payload form the configuration card to switch the device to a high security mode of operation.
MULTI-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION WITH GEOLOCATION AND SHORT-RANGE COMMUNICATION
A method of multi-factor authentication is performed by an access control device. In response to detecting a beacon signal transmitted by a user equipment (UE) via a short-range radio access technology (RAT) the access control device sends a query to a location server for a current location of the UE. The access control device then determines whether the UE is within a threshold distance of the access control device and, if so, begins monitoring a signal strength of one or more beacon signals transmitted by the UE. If the signal strength of the one or more beacon signals exceeds a signal strength threshold, then the access control device may generate an access signal to indicate that a user associated with the UE is authorized to access a protected resource.
MULTI-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION WITH GEOLOCATION AND VOICE COMMAND
A method of multi-factor authentication is performed by an access control device. In response to detecting a voice command, the access control device sends a query to a location server for a current location of a user equipment (UE) included in a list of trusted UEs. The access control device may then receive an indication of the current location from the location server and in response thereto, the access control device may determine whether the current location of the UE is within a threshold distance of the access control device. If so, the access control device may generate an access signal that indicates that a user associated with the UE is authorized to access a protected resource.
Internet-of-Things (IoT) Enabled Lock with Management Platform Processing
An Internet-of-Things (IoT)-enabled lock is provided to control access to a secure physical asset. Disparate authorized systems make requests for an access and receive authorization to access the asset. An authorized user with an authorized mobile device is dispatched to the asset pursuant to a request. Proximity-based mobile device authentication is performed when the mobile device is in a configured proximity of the asset and the mobile device establishes a wireless connection to the lock. A second factor authentication is performed on the user that operated the mobile device. A One-Time Code (OTC) is generated and provided to either the lock or the mobile device for access to the asset. Access events and service information for the asset are stored in a shared data repository. Each system has access through to the shared data repository to all auditing information associated with the asset.
Gesture-based signature authentication
Embodiments of the invention are generally directed to systems, methods, devices, and machine-readable mediums for implementing gesture-based signature authentication. In one embodiment, a method may involve recording a first gesture-based signature and storing the recorded first gesture-based signature. Then the method compares the first gesture-based signature with a second gesture-based signature. Then the method verifies the first gesture-based signature as authentic when the first gesture-based signature is substantially similar to the second gesture-based signature.
Active shooter security system
A security system for responding to an active shooter. The system includes a housing with a panel providing access to an interior volume thereof via a locking mechanism. The locking mechanism includes a first and second sensor corresponding to a first and second lock, respectively. Upon detection of a decibel level corresponding to a gunshot or upon actuation of a lever, the first sensor unlocks the first lock. Upon detection of an authorized user, the second sensor unlocks the second lock. Once both the first and second locks are unlocked, a weapon and garment disposed within the housing are accessible. A plurality of markers corresponding to a plurality of indicia are disposed within the housing. A marker is securable to the garment and serves to identify the authorized user to emergency responders. One of the indicia are activated at random to indicate to the authorized user which marker to don.
