Document verification system, device, and method using a classification model

Disclosed in the application are document verification and identity verification methods and devices. A computer-implemented document verification method comprises: obtaining an image of a to-be-verified document; and verifying whether an anti-counterfeiting identifier exists in the image; verifying a source of the image; and obtaining a verification result for the to-be-verified document based on the verification of the anti-counterfeiting identifier and the verification of the source of the image. A computer-implemented identity verification method comprises: obtaining an image of an identity document of a to-be-verified user; obtaining a first verification result for the identity document based on the image of the identity document; verifying authenticity of identity information in the image of the identify document to obtain a second verification result; and determining an identity verification result for the to-be-verified user based on the first verification result and the second verification result.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DETECTION OF COUNTERFEIT DOCUMENTS

A method of detecting a counterfeit item using a contactless scanner includes contactlessly scanning at least a portion of an item to generate a scanned image of the at least a portion of the item, wherein the at least a portion of the item comprises a graphic, identifying elements in the scanned image that correspond to elements in the graphic, measuring the identified elements to generate a plurality of element measurements, determining whether the item is counterfeit based on a comparison between at least one element measurement of the plurality of element measurements and at least one reference element measurement that is associated with an authentic version of the item, and in response to determining that the item is counterfeit, generating an alert indicating a detection of a counterfeit item.

Covert secure document registration system

A method for creating a secure document, registering the secure document and verifying the authenticity of the secure document includes receiving a print object that has content. A security feature, including an identifier, is created and is associated with the content. The identifier may be a barcode. The barcode may represent a character string. The security feature may include the identifier barcode and a decoy barcode that is not associated with the content. The identifier barcode (or the character string represented by the barcode) and the content are transmitted to a database for storage. Once stored, the identifier and the content are considered to be registered. A print object that includes the security feature and the content is then transmitted to a printer for printing.

Imagery captured by a point-of-sale scanner (e.g., in a supermarket) for purposes of barcode decoding, is contrast-enhanced preparatory to use for watermark decodingdespite the fact that such operation may sometimes result in contrast between certain pixels being diminished. A great variety of other features and arrangements are also detailed.

A laminate includes: a first laminate member; a second laminate member; and a hidden print formed by printing invisible ink between the first laminate member and the second laminate member. The hidden print is configured to absorb electromagnetic radiation outside the visible range. When irradiated with electromagnetic radiation outside a visible range that has passed through at least one of the first laminate member and the second laminate member, the hidden print absorbs the electromagnetic radiation to thereby show a sign, and, when irradiated with visible light, the hidden print does not show the sign.

EMBEDDED VARIABLE LINE PATTERNS FOR IMAGES

In some implementations, a system is capable of generating identifications that include distinctive line patterns corresponding to different portions of secure customer information. Data indicating an input image, and a dithering matrix representing a two-dimensional array of pixel values is obtained. Pixel values of pixels included in the input image are transformed using the dithering matrix. For each pixel within the input image, the transformation includes identifying a particular pixel value within the dithering matrix that represents a particular pixel within the input image, and adjusting an intensity value of the particular pixel based on attributes of the dithering matrix. A transformed image is generated based on the transformation and then provided for output.
