Multi-layered body, and security document
A multilayer body with a functional layer which includes an antenna element as well as with an optical security element which includes at least one electrically conductive partial region which is galvanically connected to the antenna element. A security document with such a multilayer body, as well as a method for the authentication thereof.
AUTHENTICATION OF DEVICES
An example apparatus includes a packaging container, and any of a label and an electronic tag detachably connected to the packaging container and including an electrical code set for electrical authentication upon removal of any of the label and the electronic tag from the packaging container and being affixed to a device associated with the packaging container, wherein the electrical authentication is to validate the packaging container and the device as original equipment manufacturer components. Any of the label and the packaging container is altered upon removal of the label from the packaging container.
PAPER SHEET PROCESSING DEVICE
A bill processing apparatus which is capable of reliably supplying information on a bill to the bill housing body side. The paper sheet processing apparatus has a bill housing part being capable of housing a bill inserted from a bill insertion slot, and also a reader/writer which wirelessly transmits information on the bill inserted from the bill insertion slot. The bill housing part has a coil antenna which wirelessly receives the information transmitted from the reader/writer, and a storage part which stores the information on the bill received from the coil antenna.

Hybrid banknote with electronic indicia
A hybrid currency banknote includes a banknote having visible markings. One or more light-controlling elements and a controller are embedded in or on the banknote. The controller is electrically connected to the one or more light-controlling elements to control the one or more light-controlling elements. A power input connection is electrically connected to the controller, or one or more light-controlling elements, or both. A power source can be connected to the power input connection, for example a piezoelectric or photovoltaic power source. In response to applied power, the controller causes the one or more light-controlling elements to emit light. A value can be stored in a memory in the controller and displayed by the light-controlling elements. The value can be assigned or varied by a hybrid currency teller machine.

DOCUMENT AUTHENTICATION SYSTEM
A secure document verification system is described, for verifying the authenticity of secure documents' The secure documents each comprise a paper document having a radio frequency tag, e.g. a NFC tag, and a document identification code. The system comprises a database storing data representing a plurality of signed secure documents, wherein each document is signed using a pairing of tag and document identification codes, received in a signing or calibration stage. The system is arranged responsive to receiving a verification request from a remote device, which request contains the tag identification data, to compare the tag identification data with the signed documents, and responsive to a match, to transmit back to the remote device a verification message.
Method for securing and verifying a document
The invention relates to a method for securing a document including a visual element, carried out by a processing unit comprising processing means, the method comprising generation, from the visual element, of a reference security datum, and storage of the reference security datum, wherein the reference security datum is generated by means of an algorithm configured so as to generate: for any image acquired from the visual element, a security datum whereof the differences relative to the reference security datum are less than a determined threshold, and for any image acquired on a different visual element, a security datum whereof the differences relative to the reference security datum are greater than said threshold.
