THICKNESS DETECTION DEVICE
A thickness detection device, which is used for avoiding the condition where abnormal features, such as foreign matter and damaged apertures, pass through a gap, so that the thickness detection device does not have a detection blind area. The thickness detection device comprises: a plurality of thickness sensors (1101, 1102, 1103 . . . 1111, 1112) which are divided into two rows, i.e. a front row and a rear row in the advance direction of a slice medium, wherein an interlaced distribution is formed between the two rows of thickness sensors (1101, 1102, 1103 . . . 1111, 1112), so that any point on the slice medium passes through the sensing coverage range of the thickness sensors (1101, 1102, 1103 . . . 1111, 1112) in the advance direction.

A thickness measurement device for a sheet-type medium comprises: a fixing frame (1), used for installing and bearing the following parts and components; a reference shaft (2), having two ends installed on the fixing frame (1) through bearings, wherein a reference roller (21) is fixedly fitted on the reference shaft (2); a detection shaft (3), wherein at least one floating support frame (31) having one end capable of rotating freely around the detection shaft (3) is arranged on the detection shaft (3), and a detection roller (32) and a signal generator (33) are arranged on the floating support frame (31); an elastic pressing plate (4), for pressing against the floating support frame (31) to keep an approaching trend between the detection roller (32) and the reference roller (21), wherein the elastic pressing plate (4) is composed of at least two elastic sheets; a signal sensor (5); and a data processing unit. By means of the device, system damping is provided through friction between the elastic sheets, an output signal impact peak value instantly caused by the fact that a front end of the sheet-type medium crushes into a floating support frame bearing and a power shaft meshing point at a certain speed is reduced, and the adjustment time of oscillation of an output signal is shortened.
Sheet type medium thickness identification device and identification method thereof
A device for identifying thickness of a sheet-like medium and method thereof are provided. The device includes: a frame, a thickness shaft, a floating shaft and a sensor; where: both ends of the thickness shaft are arranged on the two lateral plates of the frame via bearings; both ends of the floating shaft are arranged on the two lateral plates of the frame via bearings and an outer surface of the floating shaft is tangently contacted with an outer surface of the thickness shaft; and the sensor is arranged on the facade of the frame, and configured to detect an amplitude of a point of tangency where the floating shaft is tangent to the thickness shaft.

There is described a method for examining a value document while employing a digital image of the value document which comprises pixels, wherein the image is examined for the presence of at least one irregularity relating to a pre-specified property of the value document, when such an irregularity is found an examination region representing the irregularity is fixed in dependence on the size and/or position and/or form of the irregularity in the image, and for checking the irregularity only a part of those pixels of the digital image that correspond to the examination region is employed.

An image acquiring device for a sheet-type medium includes an upper passage plate and a lower passage plate, a gap being reserved between the upper passage plate and the lower passage plate to form a passage; at least two driving wheels mounted on the lower passage plate, and configured to drive the sheet-type medium entered into the passage to advance along the direction of the passage; at least two floating pinch rollers mounted on the upper passage plate, and each being mounted cooperatively with a respective driving wheel and being tangent to the driving wheel at a tangential point, and being configured to apply a pressure to the sheet-type medium to allow the sheet-type medium to cling to the driving wheel; and an image collecting device, mounted between two sets of the driving wheels and the floating pinch rollers, and configured to collect an image of the sheet-type medium.
BILL RECOGNIZING AND COUNTING APPARATUS
A bill recognizing and counting apparatus includes an operation unit that receives setting of bill processing modes including a denomination mode, a counting mode, a different-denomination recognition mode, and an authenticity determination mode; a feeding and transporting mechanism; and a control unit that performs control for changing a processing speed according to the bill processing mode. When the bill processing mode is in the counting mode, the different-denomination recognition mode, or the authenticity determination mode, the control unit increases the processing speed by setting the feeding and transporting mechanism to a higher speed than the speed set in the denomination mode. The increase in speed is in accordance with a reduced time necessary to process a reduced amount of data associated with the denomination mode.
