IDENTIFICATION APPARATUS, IDENTIFICATION METHOD, AND IDENTIFICATION PROGRAM
An identification apparatus or system includes an estimation unit that estimates an operating distance between the surface of an optical device and an imaging unit as an estimated value. A reference distance refers to the distance between a first face of an identification target and the imaging unit and at which light diffracted by a diffraction grating is capable of being recorded by the imaging unit. A first determination unit is included that determines whether the estimated value matches the reference distance and a second determination unit that determines whether an image captured by the imaging unit matches a reference image. Conditions for identifying the optical device as the identification target include a condition that the first determination unit determines that the estimated value matches the reference distance and a condition that the second determination unit determines that the image captured by the imaging unit matches the reference image.
Paper sheet processing apparatus and paper sheet processing method
According to one embodiment, a paper sheet processing apparatus includes a conveyance mechanism which conveys a paper sheet with fluorescent ink print information along a conveyance path, a fluorescence reference member including a fluorescent material and arranged to oppose to the conveyance path, a light source device which irradiates the fluorescence reference member with excitation light, and an imaging device which images the fluorescence emission of the fluorescence reference member and acquires an image including a contour of the paper sheet passing over the fluorescence reference member and an image of the fluorescent ink print information of the paper sheet.

ACTIVE STEERING SYSTEM
This disclosure relates to a banknote validator. The banknote validator comprises a banknote path formed within an interior of the banknote validator to transport a banknote from an opening of the banknote path through the interior of the banknote validator, one or more banknote edge detection surfaces each configured to provide images of edges of a banknote in the banknote path, an image sensor configured to capture the images of the edges of the banknote provided by the one or more banknote edge detection surfaces, a steerable drive wheel at least partially disposed within the banknote path, the steerable drive wheel operable to reorient a banknote in the banknote path, and the steerable drive wheel operable to move from a first position to a second position to angle the steerable drive wheel in relation to the banknote path.
Image sensor and banknote processing apparatus
An image sensor and a banknote processing apparatus are provided. The image sensor includes a first photosensitive assembly and a first light source assembly which is configured to irradiate light to an original, and further includes a first lens array configured to aggregate light reflected by the original to the first photosensitive assembly, and a light-entering surface of the first lens array is located in a transmission path of reflected light generated due to specular reflection occurred when light emitted from the first light source assembly irradiates on the original. According to different image grayscale values generated by the image sensor, the banknote processing apparatus judges whether a banknote surface is stuck to an adhesive tape.
