Systems and methods for visual verification
A system comprising: a document holder; an image sensor directed toward the document holder; a polarized filter between the image sensor and the document holder; a filter motor configured to rotate the polarized filter; one or more processors; and at least one memory having stored thereon computer program code that, when executed by the one or more processors, instructs the one or more processors to: control the filter motor to rotate the polarized filter; control the image sensors to capture a plurality of images of a document within the document holder, the plurality of images corresponding to a respective relative orientations of the polarized filter to the document; identify a feature of the document; and output, in response comparing respective visual characteristics of the feature of the document to corresponding expected visual characteristics of the first feature for the document, an indication of a verification of the document.

Fluorescence/phosphorescence detection device, paper sheet processing device, and fluorescence/phosphorescence detection method
The present disclosure relates to a fluorescence/phosphorescence detector that detects fluorescence and phosphorescence emitted from a transported sheet, including: a light source configured to irradiate a transported sheet with light; a light receiver configured to receive fluorescence and phosphorescence emitted from the sheet and output fluorescence data and phosphorescence data; and a controller configured to control the light source and acquire fluorescence data and phosphorescence data from the light receiver, the controller being configured to turn on the light source in a first predetermined period, turn on the light source in a second predetermined period after the first predetermined period, keep the light source turned off for a third predetermined period after the second predetermined period, acquire fluorescence data on fluorescence received by the light receiver in the second predetermined period, and acquire phosphorescence data on phosphorescence received by the light receiver in the third predetermined period.
Banknote position detection device
An apparatus for detecting a banknote location is provided, which includes a first, second and third photoelectric sensors installed respectively at the entrance, exit and inside of a banknote passage. The first photoelectric sensor includes a light-emitting end, a light-receiving end, a first reflecting mirror and a second reflecting mirror, for detecting whether a banknote reaches the entrance. The second photoelectric sensor includes a light-emitting end, a light-receiving end, a third reflecting mirror and a fourth reflecting mirror, for detecting whether a banknote reaches the exit. The third photoelectric sensor includes a light-emitting end, a light-receiving end, an upper reflecting mirror group and a lower reflecting mirror group, for detecting whether a banknote is inside the passage.

Multi-banknote cassette with movable stopper and banknote stacking method thereof
Provided is a multi-banknote cassette with a movable stopper, which is capable of storing various kinds of banknotes at the same time. The multi-banknote cassette includes a movable stopper which is installed in a stack guide for guiding banknotes introduced into a cassette body of the banknote cassette toward a banknote stopper, and rotated to protrude from or retreat into a transfer path of the banknotes. When a banknote having a relatively small size among the banknotes inserted into the banknote cassette is introduced, the movable stopper is rotated to protrude from the stack guide and regulates the front end of the introduced banknote, and when a banknote having a relatively large size is introduced, the movable stopper is rotated to retreat into the stack guide, and a banknote stopper installed at the rear of the stack guide regulates the front end of the introduced bank.
