A coin handling apparatus includes the following: a cassette attachment unit where a cassette is detachably attached; a coin supply unit that supplies a coin to the cassette; and a control unit that causes the cassette attached to the cassette attachment unit to perform a first confirmation operation for confirming that a coin remains in the cassette when the cassette does not satisfy a predetermined condition, and operates the coin supply unit to supply a coin to the cassette attached to the cassette attachment unit without causing the cassette to perform the first confirmation operation when the cassette satisfies the predetermined condition.

A coin processing device, comprising a coin processing module including an inlet for receiving coins to be processed and at least one coin output location, including an elongated sleeve for receiving the coins from the at least one outlet, wherein the elongated sleeve is operable to receive, in a first mode of operation of the coin processing device, a first flexible walled coin receptacle about the elongated sleeve, and wherein, in the first mode of operation, the coins are delivered by the elongated sleeve into the first flexible walled coin receptacle, and receive, in a second mode of operation of the coin processing device, a second coin receptacle within the elongated sleeve, wherein the second coin receptacle is a generally rigid container, and wherein, in the second mode of operation, the coins are delivered from the at least one outlet into the second coin receptacle positioned within the elongated sleeve.

A token sorting apparatus is arranged to supplement a game using gaming tokens, the game having a plurality of stages. The openable money-holding container (1; 100) further comprises at least one UVC ray emitter (7; 104), or at least one ozone lamp, connected to the fixed part (3; 101) or mobile part (5; 105) and arranged in a position such as to emit at least one beam towards the coins and/or tokens and/or banknotes and/or cheques and/or shopping vouchers and/or meal vouchers and/or paper securities and/or other securities (S; S′) when the mobile part (5; 105) is in said closing position. Such an openable money-holding container (1; 100) also comprises at least one air circulation device (15; 111) to circulate air inside the openable money container (1; 100).
