Systems, methods and devices for processing batches of coins utilizing coin imaging sensor assemblies
Currency processing systems, coin processing machines, coin imaging sensor assemblies and methods of making and methods of using the same are presented herein. A currency processing system is disclosed which includes a housing with a coin input area for receiving coins and coin receptacles for stowing processed coins. A disk-type coin processing unit, which is coupled to the coin input area and coin receptacles, includes a rotatable disk for imparting motion to coins, and a sorting head for separating and discharging coins to the coin receptacles. A sensor assembly is mounted to, adjacent or within the sorting head adjacent the rotatable disk. The sensor assembly includes a linear array of sensors, wherein the linear array of sensors is configured to sense coins processed by the coin processing unit, and to output a signal indicative of coin image information for processing the coins.
COIN HANDLING APPARATUS
Provided is a coin handling apparatus including: a drawer attachment unit to which a drawer is attached; a first cassette attachment unit to which a coin transport cassette including an opening to be opened when the coin transport cassette is attached to a specific apparatus and giving or receiving a coin to or from the specific apparatus via the opening is attached; a storage unit storing the coin and feeding out the stored coin; and a first transport unit transporting the coin fed out of the storage unit to the drawer attached to the drawer attachment unit or the coin transport cassette attached to the first cassette attachment unit. The first cassette attachment unit is provided at a position different from a position of the drawer attachment unit. The coin transport cassette is attachable to the first cassette attachment unit when the drawer is attached to the drawer attachment unit.
COIN HANDLING APPARATUS
Provided is a coin handling apparatus including: a storage unit; a drawer attachment unit to which a drawer is attached; a cassette attachment unit to which a coin transport cassette including an opening to be opened when the coin transport cassette is attached to a specific apparatus and giving or receiving a coin to or from the specific apparatus via the opening is attached; a first route forming portion forming a first route that guides the coin fed out of the storage unit to the drawer attached to the drawer attachment unit; a second route forming portion forming a second route that guides the coin fed out of the storage unit to the coin transport cassette attached to the cassette attachment unit; and a switching unit that switches a guide destination of the coin fed out of the storage unit to the first route or the second route.
Coin feeding apparatus and money handling apparatus
A coin feeding apparatus comprising: a disk that includes a plurality of protrusions on a surface of the disk, is disposed to be inclined and rotatable, and, when rotating, causes a first coin or a second coin to be caught on and carried upward by the plurality of protrusions, the second coin having a diameter greater than that of the first coin; a cover that forms, between the cover and a surface of the disk, a space for storing a coin therein; and a separation unit that separates one coin out of two of the first coins from the plurality of protrusions so as to cause the one coin to fall into the space, the two first coins being caught on the plurality of protrusions side by side.
COIN DISTRIBUTION MECHANISM AND APPARATUS FOR DISCRIMINATING AND CONVEYING COINS
A coin distribution mechanism for distributing coins into their denominations during conveyance is provided, which makes it possible to distribute two desired denominations of coins using a single gate member. A first gate member movable around a first axis is provided below a coin conveyance path. The first gate member is moved by a first position switching device among a default position where a gate is closed, a first switched position that allows a coin to drop through the gate to move in a first direction, or a second switched position that allows a coin to drop through the gate to move in a second direction. When a coin has a first (or second) denomination, the first gate member is moved to the first (or second) switched position. When a coin does not have the first and second denominations, the first gate member is located at the default position.
COIN DELIVERY DEVICE AND COIN PROCESSING DEVICE
Provided is a coin delivery device including a disc including a concave portion that holds a plurality of coins in a storage container one by one. A first concave portion that holds at least coins having a diameter equal to or larger than a first diameter, and a second concave portion that holds coins having a diameter less than a second diameter are provided in the disc. The first concave portion does not perform holding of coins having a small diameter or delivery of the coins to the next step, and the second concave portion performs holding of coins having a small diameter or delivery of the coins to the next step. Since the first concave portion does not hold two coins, and two coins are not put into the second concave portion, coins can be appropriately sent out one by one to the next step.
Coin batch loading device
The coin batch loading device of the present invention is a coin batch loading device capable of separating out coins one by one which were input as a batch and delivering them, including a cylindrical portion having an opening at the top and a side wall and a bottom wall, a rotor which is disposed inside the cylindrical portion and rotates about the center of the cylindrical portion, outer periphery sensors provided inside the cylindrical portion which detect one or more coins on an outer perimeter portion of the rotor, and a control device for controlling the rotation of the rotor, wherein if one or more outer periphery sensors detect one or more coins, the control device is able to set the rotational speed of the rotor to a medium speed which is lower than a high speed.
Coin sorting system coin chute
According to some embodiments, a coin chute for receiving coins exiting from a coin sorting system comprising a rotatable disc for imparting motion to the plurality of coins, a stationary sorting head having a lower surface generally parallel to and spaced slightly away from the resilient pad, the lower surface forming a coin path for directing the movement of each of the coins, and a reject slot, wherein coins exiting the reject slot travel in a first generally horizontal direction is provided. The coin chute comprises a lower tapered surface having a generally funnel shape having a larger perimeter at its top than near its bottom; and an upper generally vertical wall having an angled portion at an angle from the first horizontal direction coins exit the reject slot, the portion being positioned such that coins exiting the reject slot contact the angled portion and are directed in a generally horizontal second direction.
