Combination Umbrella and Cover
Disclosed herein is a large umbrella configured to solve several existing deficiencies. The umbrella is configured for ease of operation, requiring very little effort for operation. This is achieved, in part, by use of a specially designed actuator arm used in conjunction with at least one pulley and counterbalanced weight system. Moreover, the umbrella canopy and framework is configured to allow the entire canopy to be lowered while remaining fully extended, so as to form a cover for a table into which its center pole is situated. Additionally, the umbrella canopy can be constructed with an extendible skirt. When unfurled, the skirt can extend the canopy cover so as to form an enclosure that fully surrounds the table, table legs, and chairs, for example.
UMBRELLA AND PRIVACY SHIELD FOR AN AUTOMOBILE
An umbrella and privacy shield for use with an automobile having a side door includes an umbrella canopy coupled to a linkage configured to move the umbrella canopy between collapsed and deployed configurations. The umbrella canopy may be temporarily secured to a top or side door of the automobile via a plurality of magnets positioned on the linkage adjacent a peripheral edge thereof. A translucent or opaque curtain may be coupled and hung from a peripheral edge of the umbrella canopy so as to form an interior space that is private and not visible to persons outside the curtain.
COMPONENTS FOR SHADE STRUCTURES
A mount for a shade structure, in particular a collapsible pavilion. The mount has a base and a cover. The base has a space formed therein configured to receive a ground support of a shade structure. The cover has a top surface and a bottom surface to be secured to the base. A groove is formed in the mount and is configured to pivotably receive a rib. The groove is disposed between opposed walls of the mount. A pin retention recess is disposed on each side of the opposed walls in one of the cover and the base. A plurality of projections are provided that each have a first end fixed to one of the cover and the base in which the pin retention recess is not formed and a second end disposed away from the fixed end. One of the projections is configured to enclose a portion of the retention recess when the cover and the base are secured together.
Umbrella with deployable curtain
A device for extending the zone of protection of an umbrella. The device includes a curtain that can extend from a peripheral edge of an umbrella canopy. The curtain extends away from the canopy to envelope a user of the umbrella when the umbrella is in a deployed position. The curtain is selectively movable between a deployed position and a retracted position by a plurality of cords affixed to the curtain. In the retracted position, the curtain is compressed against the peripheral edge of the canopy. The plurality of cords passes through a cord lock, wherein the cord lock can prevent further movement of the curtain. The cord lock is operably connected to a switch disposed on a handle of the umbrella.

PORTABLE SHELTER
The present invention relates to a portable shelter assembly. The assembly includes a support; and an expandable shelter for being supported by the support and expanding to shelter at least one person. The shelter includes ribs extending from the support. Each rib includes a proximal element pivotally mounted to the support. Each rib further includes a distal element extending from the proximal element and configured to move outwardly to expand the shelter when the proximal element pivots in a first direction. The ribs can be extended independently, one at a time.
