Provided is a money handling apparatus that can be easily introduced in a store. The money handling system includes: a money handling apparatus installed in a store and capable of executing basic functions including a checkout function; and a operation terminal connected to the money handling apparatus. When executing the checkout function, the money handling apparatus receives, through the operation terminal, an input of prices and quantities of items a customer purchases in the store, to calculate a transaction amount. The apparatus recognizes and counts money, which is deposited through an inlet for paying the transaction amount, to calculate a deposit amount of deposited money, and stores the deposited money inside the money handling apparatus. When the deposit amount exceeds the transaction amount, the money handling apparatus feeds out money corresponding to a difference therebetween, and dispenses the fed out money as change to an outlet.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROCESSING CASH-DEPOSIT TRANSACTIONS
A method for facilitating cash-deposit transactions includes generation of a transaction code by a currency recycler, when a customer submits one or more currency bills to the currency recycler for a cash-deposit transaction. The customer captures the transaction code using a service application accessible on a customer device. The customer provides account details of a recipient account to the service application. An issuer receives the transaction code and the account details from the service application, and communicates an approval request to the currency recycler, seeking an approval of the customer for the cash-deposit transaction. The currency recycler communicates an approval response to the issuer when the customer approves the cash-deposit transaction. The issuer credits an amount equivalent to the value of the one or more currency bills to the recipient account based on the approval response.
Management apparatus for managing an automatic change machine and receipt printer, and method of managing the same
A management apparatus according to an embodiment includes an interface for communicating with an automatic change machine in a store. The automatic change machine receives money and provides withdrawal of money. A storage device stores first statistical information indicating a number of customers in the store during past time periods, and second statistical information indicating an amount of money stored in the automatic change machine during past time periods. A processor is programmed to perform a prediction processing including: predicting, based on the first statistical information and the second statistical information, at least one of an appropriate collection time period during a current day for collecting money from the automatic change machine and an appropriate refill time period for refilling money in the automatic change machine, and outputting information for displaying an image indicating the at least one of the predicted collection time period and the predicted refill time period.
MANAGEMENT APPARATUS FOR MANAGING A RECEIPT PRINTER
A receipt printer management apparatus includes a first interface for communicating with a receipt printer in a store, a storage device which stores first statistical information indicating a number of customers in the store during past time periods, and second statistical information indicating an amount of paper used by the receipt printer during past time periods, and a processor programmed to perform a prediction processing including: calculating, based on the first and second statistical information, a replacement time period for replacing paper in the receipt printer, and outputting information indicating the calculated replacement time period.

When a banknote cassette is taken out from a change machine installed in a store A in which a money handling apparatus is installed and is mounted to the money handling apparatus, the money handling apparatus specifies a store, stores banknotes, calculates a fee, and updates the proceeds from sales and the fee. In this case, since the store A in which the money handling apparatus is installed is specified, the fee is 0, and the proceeds from sales of the store A is updated. Meanwhile, when a banknote cassette is taken out from a change machine installed in another store B, a fee to be paid by the store B is calculated, and the proceeds from sales and the fee of the store B are updated.
BANKNOTE PROCESSING APPARATUS
This banknote processing apparatus has: an upper unit including a depositing unit configured to deposit a banknote in the banknote processing apparatus and a banknote recognition unit configured to recognize the banknote deposited from the depositing unit; and a lower unit including a temporary storage unit configured to temporarily store the banknote recognized by the banknote recognition unit and a banknote storage unit configured to store the banknote stored in the temporary storage unit. Thus, the temporary storage unit is housed in the lower unit, and therefore a user can easily perform maintenance of the temporary storage unit.

The first door (1) has an open position and a closed position. The banknote pushing mechanism (4) includes a banknote pushing member (44). The banknote pushing member (44) is movably connected to the first door (1), and protrudes from a banknote support surface of the first door (1). The banknote pushing member (44) is configured to, as the first door (1) rotates towards the open position from the closed position, to move relative to the first door (1) along a direction in which a banknote is disengaged from the first door (1), to push the banknote to be disengaged from the first door (1).
