Method and System of Validating Cash Transactions
A method and system of validating cash transactions which comprises capturing a unique identifier of a banknote, storing the unique identifier against a user identity of a user; and upon receiving the banknote as tender for payment, checking the unique identifier of the banknote against the user identity, requesting an authorization for release of the banknote for payment, and in response to receiving a successful authorization, transmitting an accept banknote message and in response to a failed authorization, transmitting a decline banknote message.
MEDIUM PROCESSING DEVICE
A medium processing device includes a main body unit that counts a medium and that is configured to be connectable to at least one medium processing unit that accommodates the medium. The main body unit includes: a plurality of power supply lines including first and second power supply lines, the first and second power supply lines being independent of each other and supplying electric power toward the at least one medium processing unit, and an output part that outputs a control signal toward the at least one medium processing unit.
SELF-PAYMENT SYSTEM, MANAGEMENT APPARATUS, AND TERMINAL MANAGEMENT METHOD
A management apparatus capable of reducing troubles with cash operations to be performed by store clerks and decreasing the costs for store operations is provided. A self-payment system includes a scanning station, a payment station, and a management server. The payment station includes a money-insertion acceptance unit for accepting insertion of cash upon payment for a product to be purchased that has been registered on the basis of the scanning station, and a money-ejection acceptance unit for accepting ejection of cash on the basis of a manipulation performed by a customer on the payment station. The management server includes a cash amount determination unit for determining the amount of cash within the payment station, and a cash processing restriction unit for restricting money-insertion acceptance by the money-insertion acceptance unit of the payment station or money-ejection acceptance by the money-ejection acceptance unit of the payment station in accordance with the amount of cash determined by the cash amount determination unit.

CASH HANDLING SYSTEM AND CASH HANDLING METHOD
In order to improve efficiency of an operation of a cash handling system and reduce the labor required for the operation, a POS register receives an input of a cash-out amount, and an input of a charge amount. The POS register reads a debit card ID from a debit card, and transmits a settlement request including the debit card ID and a settlement amount to a management server. Upon receiving the settlement request, the management server withdraws the settlement amount from an account, and transmits a settlement permission to the POS register. Upon receiving the settlement permission from the management server, the POS register performs charge of electronic money, and transmits a dispensing instruction for the cash-out amount to a change machine. The change machine receives the dispensing instruction and dispenses cash.
Information processing device and information processing system
The present invention reduces the amount of data for generating history information that can identify the time when a paper sheet moves along a transport path. The present invention includes an update unit (103) that updates reference timers (Ta and Tb) at predetermined time intervals (10 μs and 1 ms), respectively, an initializing unit (104) that initializes the reference timers at predetermined time intervals (5 s and 25 s), respectively, a storage unit (102) that stores therein the numbers of times of the initialization, and a saving unit (105) that saves difference information (D) identifying current values of the reference timers and the numbers of times of the initialization when a paper sheet moves along a transport path (P).
Money handling apparatus
A money handling apparatus for performing at least depositing includes: a casing; a depositing unit; a recognition unit configured to at least count or recognize money fed from the depositing unit; an inner storage unit from which the money stored therein is unremovable directly from the outside of the casing; an outer stacking unit from which the money stacked therein is removable directly from the outside of the casing; a transport unit configured to transport the money among the above-described units; and a controller configured to allow selective transport of the money handled by the recognition unit to the inner storage unit, or the outer stacking unit. The controller transfers the money to the inner storage unit when a first deposit mode is selected by a selection signal, or transfers the money to the outer stacking unit when a second deposit mode is selected.

Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for reconciling deposits
Exemplary embodiments are disclosed herein for processing one or more sheets of sheet material in a deposit include various systems and processes. The systems and processes include receiving a sheet in a sheet-accepting device. Further, the systems and processes include reading, by a sensor, an identifier on each sheet, detecting anomaly information for the sheet that identifies an anomalous characteristic of the sheet. The systems and processes also include determining, for each sheet, information about the sheet from the identifier on the sheet, including accounting information and deposit information, including a value associated with the deposit. Moreover, the systems and processes include performing a reconciling process when the anomaly information identifies an anomalous characteristic of the sheet, including debiting the account associated with the sheet based on the value associated with the deposit that included the sheet, and crediting the account based on that value.
