A paper sheet processing device includes: an accommodating part that accommodates a paper sheet; and a sliding stage part that is provided within the accommodating part and supports the paper sheet accommodated within the accommodating part, the sliding stage part sliding with respect to the accommodating part to cause a portion of the sliding stage part to protrude to outside of the accommodating part, and the sliding stage part sliding with respect to the accommodating part to push the paper sheet to the outside of the accommodating part and cause a leading end of the paper sheet to protrude to the outside of the accommodating part.

A system includes a cassette structured to manage a plurality of bills, a first sensor structured to provide denomination information, a bill storage component, and a picker system structured to traverse the bill storage component. The system also includes memory having stored thereon instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to determine the denomination of the plurality of bills, generate a bill list, receive a transaction request indicating a specific denomination for dispensing, identify a storage position of a target bill from the bill list, and cause the picker system to traverse the bill storage component to the storage position of the target bill to retrieve the target bill for dispensing.

A system includes a cassette structured to manage a plurality of bills, a first sensor structured to provide denomination information, a bill storage component, and a picker system structured to traverse the bill storage component. The system also includes memory having stored thereon instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to determine the denomination of the plurality of bills, generate a bill list, receive a transaction request indicating a specific denomination for dispensing, identify a storage position of a target bill from the bill list, and cause the picker system to traverse the bill storage component to the storage position of the target bill to retrieve the target bill for dispensing.
Method of remote reconciliation of data from an intelligent cash holding unit and apparatus for use in such a method
A method is provided for of operating an intelligent cash holding unit in communication with a remote management terminal via a Wide Area Network (WAN) or Internet Area Network (IAN). The method comprises determining an indication of the cash held in the cash holding unit; transmitting the indication of the cash held in the cash holding unit to the remote management terminal; storing indications of the cash held in the intelligent cash holding unit that are transmitted to the remote management terminal; and in response to receiving a request signal to transmit one or more stored indications transmitting or re-transmitting one or more stored indications to the remote management terminal. An intelligent cash holding unit is also provided, which is operable to carry out the method, retransmitting lost data in response to the request signal. A method of determining when data is lost and requesting that missing data is also provided, as is a remote terminal operable to carry out the method.

The money handling system includes: a second money handling apparatus that receives, recognizes and counts money of a plurality of transactions processed by the first money handling apparatus, in a state where the money of each transaction cannot be distinguished per transaction; and a determination unit that acquires money information generated when the money of the plurality of transactions has been processed by the first money handling apparatus, and based on the money information and a recognition and counting result obtained by the second money handling apparatus, determines whether the money of the plurality of transactions recognized and counted by the second money handling apparatus matches with the money of the plurality of transactions processed by the first money handling apparatus.
