CONTACTLESS OBJECT DISPENSING FROM OBJECT-DISPENSING MACHINES

Contactless dispensing of objects from object-dispensing machines. A digital token is wirelessly communicated to the machine via short-range wireless communication, such as Near Field Communication (NFC) or the like. In response, a push notification is communicated to the user's wireless device, which includes an activatable link for launching a mobile application. In response to launching the mobile application and authenticating the user, the mobile application provides object-dispensing machine-like user interfaces that are configured to allow the user to input object requesting parameters and submit a request for objects to be dispensed from the object-dispensing machine. The request is communicated to the object-dispensing machines (or corresponding backend processing systems) and, once the request is verified, the object-dispensing machine dispenses the requested objects.

Paper sheet handling machine

A paper sheet handling machine 100 comprises an upper unit 10 having a paper sheet take-in apparatus 120 adapted for taking therein paper sheets, one by one, from the exterior, an upper transport mechanism 201a adapted for transporting the paper sheets taken in by the paper sheet take-in apparatus 120, one by one, and a recognition unit 220 adapted for recognizing each paper sheet transported by the upper transport mechanism 201a; a lower unit 20 located below the upper unit 10 and having a lower transport mechanism 201b provided to receive the paper sheets transferred from the upper transport mechanism 201a, one by one, and then further transport the transferred paper sheets, and a plurality of stacking units 106, each adapted for stacking therein the paper sheets transported by the lower transport mechanism 201b and sorted based on results obtained by the recognition unit 220. In this case, at least a part of a bottom portion of the upper unit 10 is opened. Additionally, a partition member 30 is provided between the upper unit 10 and the lower unit 20.

According to one embodiment, a money processing device includes an input port for receiving money from a user and a discharge port for receiving money being returned or dispensed to the user. A controller is configured to selectively open and close storage covers based on a detected denomination of money to selectively store and reject deposited money. The controller also controls the dispensing of money from the storage units to the discharge port as change to the user. A return path connecting to the discharge port is provided to receive rejected money. A discharge sensor detects errors in the dispensing of money to the discharge port. A first informing unit indicates whether money is being discharged to the discharge port as rejected money or whether the discharge sensor has detected an error in the dispensing of money.
