Interactive Restaurant Table Assembly
An interactive restaurant table assembly includes a table that is positionable in a restaurant. A plurality of proximity sensors is provided and each of the proximity sensors is coupled to the table. Each of the proximity sensors is turned on when a patron moves within a trigger distance of the proximity sensors. A plurality of touch screens is each of the touch screens is coupled to the table. Each of the touch screens displays menu of the restaurant thereby facilitating the patron to order from the menu. A transceiver is coupled to the table and the transceiver is in communication with each of the touch screens for receiving the patron's order from each of the touch screens. The transceiver is in wireless communication with a central computer system of the restaurant thereby facilitating restaurant employees to receive the patron's order.
AUTOMATIC PRODUCT DISPENSING MACHINE
An automatic product dispensing machine (100) according to an aspect of the present invention comprises a product storage device (4), a control unit (30) for controlling product dispensing operation of the product storage device (4), a reading unit (12) for reading information including at least a dispensing permission indication of a product from a product claim card (recording medium) (C) that records the information, and a collecting part (20) for collecting and containing product claim cards (C). In accordance with the information read by the reading unit (12), the control unit (30) outputs a dispensing permission command to the product storage device (4) for permitting dispensing of the product.
Handheld point-of-sale terminal with configurable credit card device
A handheld point-of-sale (POS) terminal) is provided that has a housing, a touchscreen display on a face of the housing, and a credit card reader that is configurable for use disposed within the housing, the credit card reader including a first assembly comprising a mag stripe card reader and a second assembly comprising a Europay Mastercard Visa (EMV) reader, where the second assembly is coupled to the first assembly. The first assembly rotates about an axis perpendicular to a plane in which the assemblies are disposed to one of a plurality of angular positions, the plurality of angular positions indicating an offset angle of the first assembly relative to the second assembly, where the credit card reader is disposed within the housing in the one of the plurality of positions, and where the housing is configured to allow for access to credit card insertion points on the credit card reader.
Configurable credit card device
A credit card reader that is configurable for use is provided that includes a first assembly and a second assembly. The first assembly has a mag stripe card reader. The second assembly has a Europay Mastercard Visa (EMV) reader. The second assembly is coupled to the first assembly, where the first assembly rotates about an axis perpendicular to a plane in which the assemblies are disposed to one of a plurality of angular positions, the plurality of angular positions indicating an offset angle of the first assembly relative to the second assembly.
Fixed point-of-sale terminal with configurable credit card device
A fixed point-of-sale (POS) terminal is provided that includes a mounting device for affixing the fixed POS terminal in a fixed location, a housing that is coupled the mounting device, a touchscreen display on a face of the housing, and a credit card reader that is configurable for use disposed within the housing. The credit card reader has a first assembly including a mag stripe card reader, and a second assembly including a Europay Mastercard Visa (EMV) reader, where the second assembly is coupled to the first assembly. The first assembly rotates about an axis perpendicular to a plane in which the assemblies are disposed to one of a plurality of angular positions, the plurality of angular positions indicating an offset angle of the first assembly relative to the second assembly, where the credit card reader is coupled to the housing in the one of the plurality of positions.
Item return tracking systems and methods
A system for tracking returned items may include a return recognition device, a storage compartment, and a set of tags. The tags may be coupled with items to be returned. When the items are placed within the storage compartment, the return recognition device may read the tag to collect information about the returned item. The system may send a signal with a timestamp indicating that the item has been successfully returned.
Fuel dispenser having integrated control electronics
A fuel dispenser comprises fuel flow piping defining a flow path from a source of fuel toward a fueling nozzle. A plurality of fuel handling components are disposed along the fuel flow piping. Control electronics, in operative communication with the fluid handling components, include a multi-core processor having at least two processor cores located on a common integrated circuit chip, the at least two processor cores utilizing different operating systems in an asynchronous manner.
Spatial predicates evaluation on geohash-encoded geographical regions
A method of performing an evaluation of a spatial predicates for first and second regions includes receiving a first set of geohashes representing the first region, and receiving a second set of geohashes representing the second region. The method also includes for each geohash within the first set of geohashes: performing a respective pairwise evaluation of a first spatial primitive for the geohash within the first set and each of the geohashes within the second set to produce a set of first binary results corresponding to respective ones of the geohashes within the second set; and combining the set of first binary results using a first Boolean logic operator to produce one of a set of second binary results corresponding to respective ones of the geohashes within the first set. The method further includes combining the set of second binary results using a second Boolean logic operator to produce a third binary result corresponding to the first set of spatial primitives.
CREDIT CARD WITH SELECTABLE DEBIT-STYLE FUNCTIONALITY
Disclosed and described herein are systems and methods that bring together credit card and debit card technologies into a single, streamlined process that automates financial management utilizing software executing (e.g., an app) on a portable electronic device such as a smartphone and the like.
System for Packaging, Processing, Activating, and Deactivating Multiple Individual Transaction Cards as a Singular Unit
A transaction card processing and activation system comprising the identification of a unique identifier corresponding to an aggregate of transaction cards of affiliated or non-affiliated card issuers and the activation of each transaction card corresponding to the unique identifier of the aggregate irrespective of the number, types, or card issuers of the transaction cards. Additionally, the present invention allows a point of sale entity to initiate the activation of each of the multiple, disparate transaction cards in the aggregate by merely processing the unique identifier associated with the aggregate.
