BATTERY CHARGER FOR A TRANSACTION CARD
Examples described herein describe a battery charger for a transaction card. According to some implementations, a charging device may detect a transaction card is received within a charging slot when an integrated circuit (IC) chip of the transaction card is in contact with a charging terminal; request a user device to provide power to charge the transaction card via the charging terminal, wherein the user device is communicatively coupled to the charging terminal; receive the power from the user device; and provide the power to the transaction card to charge a battery of the transaction card.
Device for facilitation of payments
A payment device comprising of a housing, a slot for insertion of a user instrument located on a front surface of the housing, and wherein the housing includes a smart card interface integrated circuit that is configured to read an EMV chip located on the user instrument, and a universal serial bus (USB) type C male connector configured to be inserted into a female connector on a computing device, wherein the USB type C male connector is located on a back surface of the housing, and wherein a size of the USB type C male connector is configured so that when the USB type C male connector is inserted into the female connector on the computing device, the back surface of the housing is within a distance of three centimeters of a surface of the computing device.
IC chip, information processing apparatus, system, method, and program
An IC chip, an information processing apparatus, system, method, and program are provided. An IC chip includes an authentication control unit configured to authenticate a request using authentication information. The request and/or the authentication information is received from outside the IC chip.
TRANSFERRING AWARDS VIA OPTICAL MACHINE READABLE DATA REPRESENTATION IMAGES
In some embodiments, in a system comprising a wagering game machine, the wagering gaming machine including a digital camera and a barcode recognition unit, a method includes: detecting, by the digital camera, a barcode within a field of view of the digital camera and capturing a picture of the barcode; via the barcode recognition unit, decoding the barcode to produce decoded barcode data; in response to the decoded barcode data representing a desired casino wagering game, determining whether the desired casino wagering game is installed on the wagering game machine; and, if the desired casino wagering game is installed on the wagering game machine, loading, initiating and presenting the desired casino wagering game on an electronic display device of the wagering game machine.

Logical Validation of Devices Against Fraud and Tampering
Disclosed herein is a method and system to determine whether a payment terminal has been tampered with based on a comparison of attestation data received from the payment terminal, for example in an offline mode when an otherwise secure remote server cannot be reached. If the determination yields that the request has been approved, the terminal generates an attestation ticket having one or more validity conditions, wherein the validity conditions include expiration time that indicates the time after which the attestation ticket becomes invalid. The attestation ticket can be used as long as it is valid or until another trigger causes the ticket to be invalidated or regenerated.
Automatic storage of electronic receipts across merchants and transaction cards
The present technology pertains to storing transaction information for transactions with merchants in association with an identifier of a buyer, and transmitting an electronic receipt, including the transaction information to the buyer. The present technology includes a system and methods for associating a transaction card number with the user identifier of the buyer, such that the transaction information can be associated with the user identifier of the buyer even when the merchant does not receive the transaction card number or the user identifier of the buyer.
Point calculating device and method for calculating points
An object is to restrict the giving of points according to an object of payment for which payment was made with electronic money. An electronic money server (FIG. 11) receives transaction information in which a breakdown of the amount of payment of an electronic money card used in one payment processing is recorded and breakdown information in which a breakdown of the amount of payment for each object of payment in this payment processing is recorded. The breakdown includes a normal item into which general products are classified, a tax-free item into which tax-free articles such as a postage stamp are classified, and a collected item into which public utility rates collected by an agency payment service are classified. Among these breakdown items, points are given to the amount of payment made for a normal item, and no points are given to the others. The electronic money server 5 identifies the amount of payment used for paying for a normal item product in the amount of payment made with the electronic money card by checking the breakdown information against the transaction information, and calculates the number of points for the amount of payment.
Method and system for presenting representations of payment accepting unit events
After sending a request to a payment module, via a first communication capability (e.g., BLE), to initiate a transaction with a payment accepting unit associated with the payment module, a mobile device with one or more processors, memory, one or output devices, and two or more communication capabilities obtains a notification from the payment module via the first communication capability. The notification indicates an event at the payment accepting unit associated with the payment module. In response to obtaining the notification, mobile device provides a representation of the notification to a user of the mobile device via the one or more output devices of the mobile device. For example, a message is displayed on a display of the mobile device, a vibration alert is produced by a vibration mechanism of the mobile device, an aural alert is produced by a speaker of the mobile device, and/or the like.
Method and System for Identifying a Payment Card Design
A computer-implemented method of identifying a payment card design includes partitioning an image of a detected payment card into a plurality of blocks, the image comprising predetermined portions irreversibly masked; and generating an individual numerical representation of each respective one of the plurality of blocks, thereby generating a collective numerical representation of the design of the detected payment card. The method also includes selecting, from a database storing a plurality of payment card designs, one or more payment card designs based on the collective numerical representation of the design of the detected payment card. The method further includes generating a similarity score between the design of the detected payment card and each of the one or more selected payment card designs; and associating the design of the detected payment card with one of the one or more selected payment card designs based on the similarity score.
