Fuel Dispenser Door Lock and Alarm Control
In general, a smart door alarm and locking mechanism and methods for use thereof are provided for maintaining security while providing ease of access to a fuel dispenser. In an exemplary embodiment, the methods and devices are used in fuel dispensing devices for providing fuel to a vehicle. However, the methods and devices can be utilized in any device having a payment system where security and access are both required. In some embodiments, the described methods and systems include a door alarm and door lock kit that allow unlocking one or more doors in a housing of a fuel dispenser and simultaneously disabling or de-activating respective door alarm sensor(s). In a similar manner, the door can be locked and the door alarm sensor activated or re-activated substantially simultaneously.
REMOTE DESKTOP SUPPORT KIOSK AND DISPENSER
A kiosk includes a work surface and a storage container coupled to the work surface. A hardware-control device is coupled to the kiosk to allow for remote troubleshooting of hardware at the kiosk. The storage container includes a plurality of storage lockers that can store and dispense hardware if troubleshooting the device at the kiosk is unsuccessful.
METHODS AND DEVICES FOR FUEL DISPENSER ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION
Various exemplary methods and devices for fuel dispenser electronic communication are provided. In general, a fuel dispenser can be configured to electronically communicate with a network cloud to access cloud technology services. The communication can be direct, e.g., without the fuel dispenser communicating with the cloud network through an intermediary such as a fuel dispenser forecourt controller. The fuel dispenser can include a communication module configured to electronically communicate with the network cloud. The communication module can be on board the dispenser.
HEALTHCARE MANAGEMENT SERVICES
Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for a healthcare management service are provided.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR DETECTING SCREEN COVERS ON ELECTRONIC DEVICES
Systems and methods for detecting the presence or absence of screen covers on electronic device screens are disclosed. In one embodiment, the method includes obtaining an image of a front side of an electronic device and automatically identifying line segments in the image. For each identified line segment, the method includes calculating the angle of the identified line segment. The method further includes determining an amount of the line segments having vertical or horizontal orientations. If the amount of identified vertical or horizontal line segments exceeds a predetermined threshold amount, then the presence of a screen cover is indicated.
USER INTERFACE FOR TRANSACTIONS
The present disclosure generally relates to techniques for managing contextual transactions. In some examples, at a sender electronic device, a first user provides authorization to purchase an item for a second user. In some examples, at a recipient device, the second user selects one or more attributes for the item and requests to claim the item. In some examples, an electronic device displays a representation of an item and a purchase affordance for purchasing the item using a payment system that is available on the electronic device.
MOBILE TERMINAL AND METHOD FOR RETAIL TRANSACTION SETTLEMENT PROCESSING
According to one embodiment, a mobile terminal for use in a self-service checkout system includes a processor, a communication interface connectable to a reservation management server, and a display screen. The processor receives product identification information for identifying a product to be purchased in a sales transaction, and displays a reservation request screen on the display screen to receive a reservation request for which a reservation time for using an accounting device for settlement processing of the sales transaction is set. The processor sends the reservation request to the reservation management server via the communication interface and receives a reservation request response from the reservation management server. The reservation request response includes reservation information when the reservation request is accepted by the reservation management server. The mobile terminal outputs identification information corresponding to the reservation information if the reservation request is accepted by the reservation management server.
SYSTEM FOR BEVERAGE AND/OR FLOWABLE EDIBLE PRODUCT DISPENSING
The present disclosure relates to a beverage and/or flowable edible product dispensing apparatus, comprising: a programmable controller; a touchscreen interface including an indicator of at least one edible item for selection, the operator interface in communication with the programmable controller a dispensing system in communication the operator interface, the programmable controller, being wirelessly connected to the internet, and being operable to associate the at least one edible item with the least one beverage and/or flowable edible and/or inedible product; and the dispensing system dispenses an amount of the at least one beverage and/or flowable edible and/or inedible product associated with the selected edible item when the at least one edible and/or inedible item is selected.
Providing electronic receipts for vending machine transactions
Systems and methods are disclosed herein for providing an electronic receipt for a vending machine transaction. Upon conclusion of a vending machine transaction a screen on the vending machine displays an optically encoded electronic receipt. The optically encoded electronic receipt may encode a transaction identifier and may additionally encode details of the transaction. The vending machine may also transmit transaction data to a server. A user computing device may scan the optically encoded electronic receipt and retrieve a transaction identifier. Using the transaction identifier, the user computing device may request transaction data from the server either directly or by way of a server owned or controlled by a different entity. Additional content, such as advertisements may be transmitted with or for display with transaction data.
VENDING SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ZERO EMISSIONS VEHICLES
A zero emissions, autonomous vehicle system includes a zero emissions, autonomous vehicle configured to navigate one or more roadways independently of a human driver and including an electrical power source electrically coupled to a motor of the vehicle; a passenger compartment within an interior volume of the vehicle and configured to support human passengers; and a vending system mounted at least partially in the interior volume and electrically coupled to the electrical power source. The vending system includes an accessible enclosure that includes at least one temperature-controlled compartment configured to store vending products; and a control system including a user interface and configured to operate the accessible enclosure to provide human access to the temperature-controlled compartment based on human interactions with the user interface.
