System and method for substituting a media article with alternative media
A method of substituting digital alternative media for a requested media selection to a customer is provided. The method includes receiving a request related to the requested media selection through a user interface from the customer, identifying an associated content provider, and determining the alternative media selection at the associated content provider that corresponds to the requested media selection. The method also includes receiving a unique customer identifier and identifying the associated content provider based on the unique customer identifier. The method further includes mapping the media article to the alternative media selection based on metadata. The requested media selection may be available or may be unavailable due to being out-of-stock or reserved to another customer in an article dispensing machine embodiment. The associated content provider may be linked to the customer based on a subscription. The digital alternative media selection may be accessed by an audio/visual display interface.
Dispenser system
A system for dispensing one or more products can include one or more product containers, each with a port for dispensing a product, a housing with one or more container cavities for removably receiving the product containers, one or more quantity sensors for detecting a quantity of product within one or more product containers, one or more actuators for dispensing product from one or more product containers, and a controller configured to monitor or control one or more aspects of the system.
CENTRALIZED RESTAURANT MANAGEMENT
Described herein is a centralized order computing system that is configured to receive orders from a plurality of sources. The plurality of sources can include delivery applications, remote customer computing devices, and/or service computing devices associated with a merchant. The centralized order computing system may be configured to receive a plurality of orders from the plurality of sources, send the plurality of orders to a kitchen computing system associated with the merchant, receive a notification of order completion, and process the order.
CONTROLLED INVENTORY REFRIGERATED DISPENSING SYSTEM
A refrigerated dispensing system is provided including an outer refrigerator cabinet and an interior, removable chassis that mounts a plurality of separately removable product storage and dispensing cartridges. While individual cartridges are removably positionable within slots on one or more shelves inside of the chassis, the entire chassis (with cartridges positioned thereon) may be removed from the outer refrigerator cabinet, as may be desirable in the event of a loss of power to the outer refrigerator cabinet. The shelves are preferably of a modular and reconfigurable design, thus allowing portions of the chassis (e.g., individual shelves or portions thereof) to be modified or replaced with alternative shelving or other storage devices to meet the current refrigerated product storage needs of any particular facility.
ANALYTICS BASED CLIMATE CONTROL IN VENDING MACHINES
A climate-controlled vending machine is monitored using data analytics. The climate-controlled vending machine includes a primary storage unit for storing two or more items. A first slot of an item is determined to be available within a secondary storage unit of the climate-controlled vending machine. The secondary storage unit is a climate-controlled unit. A first item, of the two or more items within the primary storage unit, is transferred to the first slot of the secondary storage unit. The first item within the first slot of the secondary storage unit is altered to a first condition. A selection from a first user is received. In response to the reception of the selection of the first item, the first item is dispensed to the user from a dispensary unit, wherein the item is being of the first condition. The first slot is replenished with a replacement item from the primary storage.
Method, apparatus, and computer program product for replenishment of articles in a dispensing system
Example embodiments of the present invention may provide an efficient method of replenishing canisters of an automated dispensing device off-line. In particular, methods may include automatically causing an image to be captured at each of two or more stages of a replenishment process, where respective images are of a loading receptacle of a replenishment station, the loading receptacle configured to hold medication. The method may also include providing for display of respective images on a device located remote from the replenishment station, and receiving an approval or rejection of at least one stage of the replenishment process in response to providing for the display of respective images.
KIOSK FOR EVALUATING AND PURCHASING USED ELECTRONIC DEVICES
Various embodiments of kiosks for purchasing mobile phones and other mobile electronic devices from users are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, the kiosks include an apparatus to turn a mobile phone over on an inspection surface. This apparatus can enable the kiosk to visually inspect both the front and back sides of the mobile device on the inspection surface with an inspection system (e.g., imaging devices, lighting devices, etc.) positioned above the inspection surface, and can eliminate the need to position a second inspection system below a transparent inspection surface to visually inspect, e.g., the back side of the mobile device through the transparent inspection surface. In some embodiments, the kiosk also includes a wireless mobile phone charging device that can be used for, e.g., phone charging and identification.
RADIO BASE STATION AND SYSTEM HAVING SAID RADIO BASE STATION
The invention relates to a base station or a radio access point having a plurality of radio modules, of which one communicates with electronic price indication signs. If a plurality of radio modules use the same frequencies and communicate simultaneously, disturbances can occur in the form of interference. The invention solves this problem in that the radio modules (21, 22, 23) are coupled (24) such that a radio module (22) can influence another radio module (21, 23) with regard to the radio activity of said other radio module. In particular, the radio module that communicates with the electronic price indication signs (22) can silence the other radio modules (21, 23) by means of a radio activity control signal (FS).
DOUBLE-SIDED STORAGE LOCKER SYSTEMS ACCESSED AND CONTROLLED USING MACHINE-READABLE CODES SCANNED BY MOBILE PHONES AND COMPUTING DEVICES
A double-sided ride storage locker system deployed at a park facility with ride sites, including a system integrated with a facility ride management system, for automated management and control over the operation of locker-rental state indication lights displayed as rented on the egress side of the double-sided ride storage locker system. The double-sided ride storage locker system provides guest visitors with access control enabled by scanning multi-level machine-readable codes using mobile scanning computing systems, such as web-enabled smartphones with digital cameras and mobile application support. The storage locker system supports automated modes of discovering and finding where a guest's rented locker is located within the facility and its sites at any moment in time, simply by using the guest' smart phone to scan a device-level code, a site-level code, a facility-level code or a discovery-level code, posted anywhere within the facility or any site, without need for using a physical locker lookup kiosk or other conventional systems and methods.
SINGLE-SIDED STORAGE LOCKER SYSTEMS ACCESSED AND CONTROLLED USING MACHINE-READABLE CODES SCANNED BY MOBILE PHONES AND COMPUTING DEVICES
A single-sided ride storage locker system deployed at any site within a facility, and providing guest visitors with access control enabled by scanning multi-level machine-readable codes using mobile scanning computing systems, such as web-enabled smartphones with digital cameras and mobile application support.
