A checkout system according to an embodiment includes a registration apparatus in communication with a plurality of checkout apparatuses. The checkout apparatuses each include a display device, a communication interface, a payment device, and a controller. The display device displays an instruction to provide an input to start a checkout processing. When the input to start the checkout processing is received, the communication interface transmits a checkout processing request to the registration apparatus. The checkout processing request includes identification information for identifying the checkout apparatus. The checkout apparatus receives, from the registration apparatus in response to the checkout processing request, transaction information generated by the registration apparatus. The payment device processes payment in accordance with the received transaction information.
CHECKOUT SYSTEM
A checkout system according to an embodiment includes a registration apparatus in communication with a plurality of checkout apparatuses. The checkout apparatuses each include a display device, a communication interface, a payment device, and a controller. The display device displays an instruction to provide an input to start a checkout processing. When the input to start the checkout processing is received, the communication interface transmits a checkout processing request to the registration apparatus. The checkout processing request includes identification information for identifying the checkout apparatus. The checkout apparatus receives, from the registration apparatus in response to the checkout processing request, transaction information generated by the registration apparatus. The payment device processes payment in accordance with the received transaction information.
