A self-service kiosk is disclosed. The self-service kiosk may have a housing, including a user interface. The user interface may receive from a user a selection of an item. The user interface may also receive from the user a payment for a purchase of the item. The self-service kiosk may include a fabrication system disposed within the housing. The fabrication system may fabricate the item selected by the user. The self-service kiosk may also include a packaging system. The packaging system may sealingly enclose the item in a package. Further, the self-service kiosk may include a bin that may dispense the package, including the item, to the user.

A cabinet for storing items has at least one carousel rotatable about an axis of the cabinet, and each carousel has a plurality of compartments formed about the axis. The cabinet is structured to store items into the compartments or discharge items out of the compartments.
PORTABLE POWER BANK, VENDING SYSTEM AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
A portable power bank vending system includes a vending station that selectively rents one or more portable power banks. To initiate the rental of a power bank from the vending station, a software application is provided on a smartphone. Once the user confirms he or she desires to rent the power bank via the software application the user scans the QR code using the phone's camera, whereupon a portable power bank is released from the vending station. When the power bank is returned, the camera is used to scan the QR code associated with the same vending station, whereupon the vending station identifies the appropriate storage port in the vending station in which to insert the returned power bank, and the user is charged a fee for the rental.

A comfort accessory vending apparatus for selling comfort products for overnight travel includes a housing and a door with a viewing window hingingly coupled to an open housing front side. A push flap is hingingly coupled to a receiving aperture to selectively grant access to a housing inside. Dispenser shelves are coupled to the housing and comprise a shelf body and a plurality of motorized retrieval tracks. Helical rods are coupled to a motor and secure a plurality of sleeping comfort items between adjacent turns of the helical rods. The motor rotates the helical rods to advance the plurality of sleeping comfort items. A payment interface is coupled to the door and is in operational communication with a control unit to receive payment and allow a user to select the desired sleeping comfort item to be dispensed.

A network of collection, charging and distribution machines collect, charge and distribute portable electrical energy storage devices (e.g., batteries, supercapacitors or ultracapacitors). To charge, the machines employ electrical current from an external source, such as the electrical grid or an electrical service of an installation location. The charging and distribution machines may distribute portable electrical energy storage devices of particular performance characteristics and other attributes based on customer preferences and/or customer profiles. The charging and distribution machines may provide instructions to or otherwise program portable electrical energy storage devices stored within the charging and distribution machines to perform at various levels according to user preferences and user profiles.
SHARING SYSTEM
A sharing system includes a management apparatus connected to a plurality of user terminals, a storage facility terminal provided in a storage facility, and a plurality of relay facility terminals respectively provided in a plurality of relay facilities through a network. The management apparatus includes a usage processing unit configured to perform usage processing of an article. When the usage processing unit receives a usage request, which is transmitted from the user terminal and which includes a usage user and a usage article, the usage processing unit transmits, to the storage facility terminal, a transport instruction to transport the usage article to the relay facility corresponding to the usage user, as the usage processing.

In an embodiment of the invention, a computer-implemented method for paying for usage of a pay per use device may be provided. The method may transmit device identification information from the device to a server. Device setup information and vend price may be received and the vend price may be displayed. User identification may be received and transmitted to the server. An account balance value may be received and displayed on the display. A start request may be received and transmitted to the server. The device may start and an updated account balance may be displayed.
