MEDICINE DISPENSING APPARATUS
20230116594 · 2023-04-13 · ·

A conveyer conveys a medicine container, from a storage site storing a plurality of the medicine containers each containing a medicine, to a delivery site where the medicine is removed from the medicine container, and returns, from the delivery site to the storage site, the medicine container from which the contained medicine is partially removed. A standby site where the medicine container unloaded from the storage site and directed toward the delivery site is allowed to stand by is located between the storage site and the delivery site. The medicine container containing the medicine determined not to be used for subsequent medicine preparation is returned from the standby site to the storage site. The medicine container containing the medicine determined to be used also for the subsequent medicine preparation is caused to stand by at the standby site until the subsequent medicine preparation, without being returned to the storage site.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ACCESS MANAGEMENT AND CLUSTERING OF GENOMIC, PHENOTYPE, AND DIAGNOSTIC DATA
20230110360 · 2023-04-13 ·

The present disclosure provides systems and methods for facilitating secure and convenient genetic data exchange among different users. A computer-implemented method for cloud-based genomic, phenotype, or diagnostic data access among a plurality of digital computers may comprise a first digital computer of a first user and a second digital computer of a second user, comprising: (a) providing a cloud-based computer system comprising a network interface that is in network communication with the first and second digital computers; (b) through the network interface, receiving a request from the first digital computer to provide the second user access to a set of genomic, phenotype, or diagnostic data, which set of genomic, phenotype, or diagnostic data is generated from processing biological samples of a subject; and (c) subsequent to receiving said request in (b), permitting the second user to access at least a subset of the set of genomic, phenotype, or diagnostic data through the second computer.

Medication dispensing apparatus

A medication dispensing apparatus is provided herein along with computer-useable instructions embodied on a microcontroller for control of said medication dispensing apparatus. Instructions may be embodied on the microcontroller to control a dosing of medication via a coupled motor. The microcontroller controls rotation of the motor to line up a cavity with a dispensing port such that medication from a medication container (e.g., pill bottle) is dispensed via the dispensing apparatus.

Secure smart container assembly, systems, and methods

A bin assembly, bin identification system and method are disclosed. A container bin assembly includes a bin body, a latching mechanism, and controller. A method includes receiving, via a communication interface, an authenticated request to access the smart container, actuating an electromechanical latch to disengage a fastening hook, thereby initiating a mechanical movement of an access component to make an internal compartment accessible, outputting, via an audiovisual element, an alert to identify the container, confirming that the electromechanical latch has re-engaged with the fastening hook, thereby securing the internal compartment, determining a change in a local inventory, and updating the local inventory in a non-volatile data store according to the change.

Drug product packaging system including locking system for controlling access to drug product cells

A system includes a drug product packaging system that is configured to hold a plurality of cells in a lockable section thereof and to maintain the plurality of cells in a locked state via a locking mechanism, the locking mechanism being configured to receive ones of the plurality of cells into the lockable section of the drug product packaging system and configured to maintain the ones of the plurality of cells in the locked state without changing the locked state of previously received ones of the plurality of cells into the lockable section of the drug product packaging system.

VACUUM-BASED RETRIEVING AND DISPENSING

The methods of the present disclosure are generally directed to controlling noise and performance associated with a vacuum system for retrieving and dispensing dispensable units, such as pills. By way of example and not limitation, such methods may be useful for addressing the particular challenges associated with automated dispensing of pills (or other dispensable units) in environments—such as many household or point-of-care environments—that are sensitive to noise and/or in environments in which the retrieval device is generally operated by users without specialized training in maintaining the retrieval device.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PERFORMING LOAD OPTIMIZATION OF MEDICATIONS IN AN ELECTRONIC MEDICATION STORAGE CABINET

An electronic medication storage cabinet includes a plurality of drawers configured with a plurality of sensors arranged to identify a positioning of storage pockets within the drawers. Upon receiving an indication of a new medicine container to be loaded in the cabinet, a sequence of steps to load the medicine container into the cabinet is generated based on a mapping algorithm. A first step is displayed on a display the cabinet, and a determination is made as to whether the first step is associated with one of the plurality of drawers. In response to determining that the first step is associated with one of the plurality of drawers, the drawer is automatically unlocked. In response to determining that the first step is successfully completed, a determination of whether execution of any additional steps is pending and indicated on the display.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CAPPING
20230069879 · 2023-03-09 ·

A pharmaceutical order filling system uses a physical parameter that occurs during attaching cap to a pharmaceutical container to determine if the cap is properly engaged. The physical parameter may be torque on the cap when placed on the container. An order processing device receives a pharmaceutical order and sends the order to a dispensing device that fills the container with a pharmaceutical in the pharmaceutical order. A cap device is configured to apply the cap the container containing the pharmaceutical from the dispensing device, wherein the cap device is configured to sense the physical parameter, e.g., torque, to the cap when applying the cap to the container.

DEVICE FOR STORING ELEMENTS, ASSOCIATED INSTALLATION AND ASSOCIATED COMMUNICATION METHOD
20220318531 · 2022-10-06 ·

Disclosed is a device for storing elements each including a first wireless communication unit, the device including: —a receiving support receiving the elements; —a second wireless communication unit generating waves and communicating with each first unit according to a communication protocol, a communication zone being a three-dimensional zone in which the second unit communicates with each first unit when each first unit is located in the zone and does not communicate with a first unit when the first unit is located outside the zone; —a waveguide able to guide the generated waves so that a dimension of the communication zone is strictly greater than a reference dimension, the reference dimension being equal to the dimension of the communication zone when the storage device is without waveguides.

STORAGE AND DISPENSING STATION FOR A BLISTER MACHINE
20220315259 · 2022-10-06 ·

Storage and dispensing stations for a blister machine for separable small piece goods include a storage container having a housing and a separating device having a coupling device with a lower coupling portion and having a holding device with an actuation member. The storage container is releasably arranged on a dispensing station having a rotary drive having a hub seated on a shaft and having an opening member for interaction with the actuation member. The lower coupling portion, the hub, the actuation member, and the opening member are set relative to one another so that when arranging the storage container on the dispensing station prior to an effective interaction between the actuation members and the opening member, an effective interaction occurs between the lower coupling portion and the hub, and the hub is rotatable in the de-energized state. Methods of operating storage and dispensing stations are also provided.
