AUTOMATED MOTOR VEHICLE SERVICES AND PARKING TICKETS
A system and method for providing an automated motor vehicle notifications and services system obtains photograph of a vehicle license plate for a violating vehicle, accepts input defining a violation associated with the violating vehicle to generate an electronic parking ticket, transmits the photograph and the electronic parking ticket to a web-based computing system associated with a parking authority, when the license plate indicates an out of state vehicle registration, obtains an online address associated with a state motor vehicle authority in a state matching the license plate, transmits the photograph and electronic ticket to the appropriate state motor vehicle authority, verifies the license plate matches the violating vehicle, when the license plate does not match the violating vehicle, notifies a responsible agent to dispatch a tow truck to remove the violating vehicle, and transmits the photograph and the electronic parking ticket to a web-based driver notification computing system instructing the driver notification computing system to serve notice of the electronic ticket on an owner of the violating vehicle.
Power supply unit
A power supply unit for supplying power to a device has a rechargeable, main battery; a charging arrangement for charging the main battery; a non-rechargeable back-up battery; load terminals for connection to a load; and a control unit for controlling supply of power to the load primarily from the main battery and secondarily from the back-up battery. The device is, in particular, a single bay, stand alone parking meter. In the event that the main battery runs low, the control unit is configured to supply power to the load from both the main battery and the back-up battery or only from the back-up battery. The back-up battery is easily replaceable, and the power supply unit has a bay, with connectors for receiving the back-up battery. The main battery is charged from solar panels. A communication device is provided to communicate status messages wirelessly to a control system.

SPI keyboard module for a parking meter and a parking meter having an SPI keyboard module
A serial peripheral interface (SPI) keyboard module for a parking meter comprises a plurality of key switches and at least one controller configured to detect a key press, determine a predetermined indicator associated with the pressed key and transmit the indicator to a keyboard interface of the parking meter. The SPI keyboard module provides a low power keyboard module that can be easily adapted to provide different keyboards or layouts without requiring significant changes to the parking meter electronics.
METHOD, SYSTEM, AND COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM FOR MANAGING SHARED VEHICLE
A shared vehicle management system for managing a shared vehicle is described in the present disclosure. The shared vehicle management system includes a return request processing unit, a shared vehicle management unit and a parking determination unit. The return request processing unit is configured to receive, from a mobile device of a user, a shared vehicle return request including terminal identification information of the mobile device and parking spot identification information. The shared vehicle management unit is configured to identify the shared vehicle based on the terminal identification information of the mobile device. The parking determination unit is configured to determine, based on the parking spot identification information, that the shared vehicle identified by the shared vehicle management unit is parked on a parking spot corresponding to the parking spot identification information. The return request processing unit is further configured to transmit a notification of completion of return to the mobile device.
Parking Reservation System
The disclosure includes a device and system for reserving a parking space via a barricade and system for a future date and time. The device consists of a base, a pole or barricade, a solar panel, and a motion sensor. The pole stands while the parking spot is empty and lays flat to the ground when the parking spot is reserved and occupied. Communication between single and multiple parking spot barricade systems and cell phone circuits allow the customer to reserve the desired parking spot for a selected date and period of time.
Parking management system and parking management method
A parking management system includes: a mobile terminal including a user information storage unit configured to store user information, a reading unit configured to read identification information of a parking section from a code correlated with the parking section, a time identifying unit configured to identify a parking start time or a parking end time of a vehicle based on a predetermined input, and a transmission unit configured to transmit parking information including the stored user information, the read identification information, and the identified time to a server; and a server including a parking information storage unit configured to store reservation information for the parking section, a reception unit configured to receive the parking information from the mobile terminal, and a determination unit configured to determine whether parking of the vehicle in the parking section matches reservation details based on the reservation information and the parking information.
