A system architecture of a gift transaction system is disclosed. The gift transaction system can include a buyer interface module, a recipient interface module, a merchant backend interface module, a store front interface module, a curation module, a reminder module, an analytics module, or a media plug-in interface module. A method of operating the gift transaction system under the system architecture includes: providing an embedded widget on a website to determine gift intent to initiate a gift transaction by a buyer account for a recipient account; generating a gift buyer interface for a first client device to personalize a gift package including a gift item; generating a gift recipient interface for a second client device to customize the gift package; and communicating with a merchant backend system to complete the gift transaction to ship the gift package.

A system and method is disclosed for automated remote transactions between a vehicle and a lodging system The system may enable the vehicle to initiate an automated remote transaction to the lodging system to book an accommodation and complete a remote payment. The lodging system may transmit available accommodations to the vehicle. The vehicle may respond with a booking request comprising an accommodation selection and vehicle identifying data and the lodging system may communicate the vehicle identifying data to a payment network to authorize the remote transaction. In response to authorizing the remote transaction, the lodging system may complete the booking request with the vehicle.

A method performed by a concierge service implemented by at least one server computing device. The method includes receiving an indication from a user. The indication indicates that the user would like to purchase one or more movie tickets for a particular showtime of a movie or that the user would like to reserve one or more movie tickets for a movie that has not yet been released and for which tickets are not yet available for purchase. If the former, the concierge service completes the purchase of the movie ticket(s) for the particular showtime. If the later, the concierge service creates a ticket reservation by freezing user funds corresponding to a price of the movie ticket(s) when the movie has not yet been released, purchases the movie ticket(s) for the user after the tickets are made available for purchase, and collects the funds that were frozen.

A system and method is disclosed for automated remote transactions between a vehicle and a lodging system. A method for beacon device-based customer notifications is provided. The method is implemented by a computing device including a processor. The method includes receiving, from a beacon device, a beacon device advertisement that includes a universally unique identifier (UUID), a major identifier, and a minor identifier. The method also includes identifying, based on at least one of the UUID, the major identifier, and the minor identifier, that the beacon device is associated with an agent location, where the agent location is corresponds to a bill payment and money transfer facility. The method further includes generating a payment notification for display on the computing device, where the payment notification includes payment data and agent location data, receiving, from a user, an instruction to prepare to make a payment at the agent location, and causing the agent location to stage the payment for completion by the user.

A method for beacon device-based customer notifications is provided. The method is implemented by a computing device including a processor. The method includes receiving, from a beacon device, a beacon device advertisement that includes a universally unique identifier (UUID), a major identifier, and a minor identifier. Disclosed herein are mobile battery powered kiosks generally shaped as a standing workstation having an interactive touch screen at a comfortable viewing height and a wheeled base portion for convenient rolling transportation. These mobile kiosks may have collapsible handles and may be nested together for more compact storage and more efficient battery charging, such as by daisy chaining These mobile kiosks may have removable or swappable rechargeable batteries, or may be recharged simply by plugging into a wall outlet. The mobile kiosks have an interactive touch screen, which may itself be a computer, or may be operably coupled to a computer, such as via Wi-Fi. These mobile kiosks may be used at a point-of sale and are wheeled and lightweight to be easily maneuvered and quickly deployed when needed, such as at crowded venues, or on a temporary as-needed basis, and can then be put away, when no longer needed.

This disclosure describes, in part, techniques for enabling merchant devices to interoperate with one another in a more robust manner, such that overall operation and efficiency within a merchant establishment is improved. For instance, the techniques described herein may enable the intelligent routing of requests between devices within the merchant establishment based on real-time locations of the devices, which devices are associated with which orders, and the like.
